**Managerial and coaching career** Highly respected coach and decorated former Major League third baseman enters his third season as Dodgers third base coach...managed the Dodgers' Triple-A partner the Albuquerque Isotopes in 2009 and 2010 and guided them to a 152-135 (.530) record...guided the Isotopes to the American Southern Division title in 2009 and a franchise-record 80 wins after a three-year absence from the game...was recognized as the 2009 Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year and also as Baseball America's "Best Manager Prospect"...was Dodgers' hitting coach from 2004-2005...served as hitting coach for the Dodgers' Single-A San Bernardino club in 1997 and 1998...took over managerial duties for San Bernardino during the final two and a half months of the 1998 campaign... coached at his alma mater Cal State University, Fullerton in 2000...managed Single-A Ranch Cucamonga in the Angels' organization in 2001. **Playing career** Wallach played 17 seasons in the Major Leagues with Montreal (1980-92), Los Angeles (1993-96) and California (1996)...batted .257 with 2,085 hits, 260 home runs and 1,125 RBI...was a five-time NL All-Star with Montreal and earned three Rawlings Gold Glove Awards for NL third baseman...led the Major Leagues in doubles in 1987 (42) and was the NL leader in 1989 (42) and won two Silver Slugger Awards and is Montreal/Washington's all-time franchise leader with 1,694 hits, 360 doubles, 905 RBI and 1,767 games. **Personal** Timothy Charles Wallach and his wife of 32 years, Lori, reside in Yorba Linda, CA...the Dodgers drafted each of his three sons; Matt is a catcher in the Dodger organization, Brett pitches in the Chicago Cubs' system after a 2010 trade and Chad is a catcher on the Cal State Fullerton baseball team...Wallach was an inductee into Cal State Fullerton's inaugural Titan Athletics Hall of Fame in 2005...received the Ray Boone Family Award at the 2012 Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation banquet in January...was elected to the College Baseball Hall of Fame in February 2011...won USA Baseball's Golden Spikes Award and The Sporting News College Player of the Year award in 1979 when he led the Titans to the school's first NCAA Division I title.
