Spent most of the season at Triple-A Ottawa before joining the Orioles in September...made his Major League debut on September 6 against Toronto, walking in a pinch-hit appearance...struck out as a pinch-hitter the next night...collected his fi rst Major League hit on September 10 at Seattle off Jeff Harris... had two hits on September 13 at Texas, including his fi rst big league home run off Rangers' pitcher R.A. Dickey...was the first of two straight two-hit games...hit safely in each of his first four starts and fi ve of nine overall...played 10 games at first base, two as designated hitter and entered four games as a pinch-hitter...Hit safely in 86 of 123 games with Ottawa and led the Lynx with 29 doubles and 81 RBI...played 63 games at first base and 58 as a designated hitter...batted .384 in April and .205 in May, followed by .327 in June, .226 in July and .306 in August...hit seven home runs in June, his only month with more than two home runs...went 5-for-8 with two home runs and four RBI on June 7 against Columbus...had four hits, including a double, home run and five RBI on August 10 versus Rochester.
