2016

Went 1-1 with a 5.82 ERA in six games, including four starts, during Spring Training and made the A's Opening Day roster as the fifth starter…however, left his final spring training start on April 2 against San Francisco after just one inning with an elbow injury…was placed on the 15-day disabled list April 4 with a sprained left elbow…underwent ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction surgery on April 12 and missed the remainder of the season…the surgery was performed by Dr. Timothy Kremchek at the Beacon Orthopedic and Medical facility in Cincinnati…Dr. Kremchek used the gracilis tendon from Doubront's hamstring for the UCL graft and also removed a bony osteophyte near the medial aspect of Doubront's elbow…was transferred to the 60-day DL April 27…was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville Oct. 7 and elected free agency before re-signing with the A's on a minor league contract on Nov. 14.

2015

Felix was acquired from Boston, July 30, for a player to be named (INF Marco Hernandez) and made four starts for Chicago, going 2-1 with a 3.98 ERA (9 ER/20.1 IP) ... between the Red Sox and Cubs, was 4-5 with a 5.54 ERA (49 ER/79.2 IP) in 21 games (14 starts)...Right-handed hitters batted .257 (57-for-222) against him ... left-handed batters hit .333 (34-for-102)...Posted a 2.55 ERA (7 ER/24.2 IP) in five games (four starts) against N.L. Among AL left-handers, ranked 5th opponent SLG (.391), 7th in opponent OPS (.729), and 2nd in HR/9.0 IP ratio (0.72). Limited opponents to only 50 extra-base hits (33 2B, 4 3B, 13 HR)...Held an opponent without an XBH 6 times in 2013, tied for the 3rd-most such starts by an AL lefty...Did not allow a HR in a career-high 6 starts from 7/10-8/10. Led the Red Sox with 167 strikeouts and tied for the team lead with 11 wins in his 1st full season in the major leagues. Averaged 9.34 strikeouts per 9.0 innings (167 K/161.0 IP), 4th best among major leaguers with at least 160.0 innings pitched...Since 1976, the only other AL lefty 24 years old or younger to notch a K-rate as high in a season with at least 160.0 innings was TB's Scott Kazmir in 2007 (10.41)...Was the best-ever strikeout rate by a Red Sox pitcher under 25 years old in a season (min. 140.0 IP)...Was the 3rd-best single-season K-rate by a Red Sox left-hander (min. 160.0 IP) behind Jon Lester's 2009 (9.96) and 2010 (9.74) . Started season on Boston's 15-day disabled list due to rehab from left forearm inflammation and was activated on 4/8. ... Made three appearances out of the bullpen, including two scoreless, posting a 6.75 ERA (2 ER/2.2 IP), before being optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on 4/17. Recalled on 9/1 and had 8 relief outings with Boston over the final month. ... Collected one save while posting a 5.87 ERA (5 ER/7.2 IP)...Did not allow a run in 5 of eight games in that time. Recorded third career save with a perfect 14th inning in Game 2 of a doubleheader on 9/25 at NYY. Held right-handed batters to a .238 clip (5-for-21) and .286 SLG while with Boston. ... Picked off a pair of base runners. Spent most of season with Triple-A Pawtucket, going 2-5 with a 4.22 ERA (33 ER/70.1 IP) and 61 K's in 18 games (16 GS)...Was the team's youngest regular pitcher and 2nd youngest overall after Dennis Neuman (5 G). Limited Triple-A opponents to a .241 AVG (65-for-270), including a .212 mark (40-for-189) against righthanded batters. Spent most of the 2008 season with Single-A Greenville, earning a late-season promotion to Single-A Lancaster...Combined to lead all Red Sox minor leaguers with a 138 strikeouts and ranked 3rd among that group with 13 wins in 129.1 innings over 26 starts, all career highs... Overall, went 13-9 with a 3.70 ERA (53 ER/129.1 IP)...Participated in the 2009 Red Sox Rookie Development Program in Boston.

ALL-STAR NOD: Joined catcher Luis Exposito, first baseman Mike Jones and shortstop Yamaico Navarro as one of 4 members of the Drive selected to the 49th annual South Atlantic League All- Star Game in Greensboro, NC but did not appear in the game.

Split the season between Single-A Greenville and Short-A Lowell. Tossed 5.0 innings or less in 10 of his 11 starts, including 6 outings of 4.0 frames or fewer. Was 3-6 with an 8.20 ERA (34 ER/37.1 IP) before landing on the disabled list with an elbow strain on 7/13... Returned 7/21 and made 2 more appearances for the Drive before transferring to Lowell on 7/31. Struggled in 1st 2 starts with the Spinners, going 0-1 with an 18.00 ERA (10 ER/5.0 IP) before lasting 5.0 frames in each of final 6 starts from 8/10-9/7, posting a 1-2 record and 3.60 ERA (12 ER/30.0 IP) in that time.

2006

Spent 1st professional season in the United States...Combined to post a 2.92 ERA (21 ER/64.2 IP), 6th best among Red Sox minor leaguers, between stops with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Red Sox and Short-A Lowell. Led the Gulf Coast League with 11 starts and tied for 4th with 53.2 innings pitched. Promoted to Lowell on 8/28 and made 2 starts before returning to pitch in the GCL playoffs, helping the Red Sox to a league championship...Fanned a single-game, postseason-high 9 batters over 7.0 shutout innings against the GCL Dodgers on 8/23.

2005

Named Red Sox Minor League Latin Program Pitcher of the Year after going 7-1 with a 0.97 ERA (7 ER/64.2 IP) in 13 starts for the VSL Red Sox. Limited foes to a .152 AVG (32-for-210)...Did not allow a homer in 64.2 innings. Won final 7 decisions beginning 6/20, going 7-0 with a 0.54 ERA (3 ER/50.0 IP) in those 9 starts.
