Played in a career-high 146 games, the second-most by a Padre behind Will Venable (151)…set a career-high in hits (87) while tying his career-high in home runs (five) and RBI (32)...Made a career-high 84 starts (53 in CF, 16 at 2B, eight at SS, five in LF and two at 3B)...Hit .316 (24-for-76) with runners in scoring position, the third-best mark by a Padre in 2013 (min 20 AB)…also hit .324 (11-for-34) with runners in scoring position and two outs, the second-best mark by a Padre in 2013 (min. 10 AB)...Recorded his first career game-ending hit in the Padres final home game of the season on September 26 vs. ARI with a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 11th to give the Padres a 3-2 victory...Had a career-long 0-for-31 hitless streak from September 7-23 snapped with a single on September 24 vs. ARI...Over a 30-game stretch from June 28 - August 7, he hit .302 (29-for-96)...On May 15 at BAL, recorded a season-high-tying three hits, going 3-for-5 with a career-high tying three runs, two doubles, a homer and two RBI from eighth spot in order…his three extra-base hits were a career-high and were tied for the most in a game by a Padre in 2013…according to ELIAS, he became just the third Padre in team history to have at least three extra-base hits with multiple RBI while hitting eighth-or-ninth in the order (also, Cesar Crespo on September 24, 2001 at COL and Nick Hundley on August 31, 2010 at ARI).

2012

Acquired by the Padres along with RHP Donn Roach from LAA in exchange for RHP Ernesto Frieri on 5/3. Made his first career Opening Day roster for the Angels, appearing in one game as a pinch runner on Opening Day, 4/6 vs. KC, scoring what would prove to be the winning run in that game. Assigned to Triple-A Tucson after trade on 5/3, playing in 11 games for Tucson before being recalled to San Diego on 5/17, spending the remainder of the season with the Padres...made his Padres debut on 5/17 vs. LAD. Hit .186 (11-for-59) over his first 25 games with the Padres from 5/17-6/18 before hitting .309 (42-for-136)right after in a 42-game span from 5/19-8/11. Collected a career-high five hits on 9/2 at COL, the most hits by a Padre in 2012 and most by a Padre since Chase Headley also had five hits on 9/21/09 at PIT (11 innings). Hit his first career home run on 6/28 at HOU, a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the ninth inning to help give the Padres a 7-3 victory over the Astros that day...became the first player in Major League history to hit a go-ahead grand slam in the ninth inning-or-later for his first career home run since 9/8/69 when Jose Martinez did so for PIT at MON (ELIAS)...was the fifth Padre in team history to hit a grand slam for his first home run. Two games after his first career home run on 6/28 at HOU,had his first career multi-homer game on 6/30 at COL, collecting a career-high tying four RBI in that game (2x, also 6/28/12 at HOU). Hit his first career leadoff home run on 8/10 at PIT. Overall, between the Angels and Padres, hit .279 (29-for-104) with runners on base and .265 (18-for-68) with runners in scoring position. Had a career-best nine-game hit streak from 6/26-7/5, hitting .412 (14-for-34) over that streak. Played in 106 games total, making 64 starts, all with the Padres...of his games started, 43 were at 2B, eight at SS, seven in LF and six in CF. In 29 games combined between Salt Lake and Tucson, hit .278 (35-for-126) with seven doubles, two triples, one home run, 18 RBI and 17 runs scored.

Spent majority of season with triple-A Salt Lake...With Bees, hit .292 (106/363) with 24 doubles, five triples, four home runs, 15 RBI and 15 SB in 86 games...Appeared at five different positions with club during season (2B, SS, LF, CF, RF)...Smacked three doubles with three RBI vs. Tucson on August 2...Spent three separate stints with Halos, first called up April 25...Made Major League debut April 26 vs. Oakland (1-for-3, 2B, 3 RBI)...Connected for a 2-run double in first at-bat, marking first Major League hit, first Major League extra-base hit and first two career RBI...Optioned to Salt Lake June 18, recalled again by Angels from July 15-23...Recalled by Angels on Sept. 6... 2010

Batted .295 (64/217) with nine HR and 34 RBI in 2010 Venezuelan Winter League...Angels' Defensive Player of the Month in April, May and June of 2010 was named to the California League Mid-season All-Star Team.

2009

Earned Angels' Minor League Player of the Year honors in 2009...2009 Midwest League All-Star Game selection...Named to the Midwest Post-Season All-Star team...Led league hitting .319, placed second with 39 doubles and 10 triples.

2008

Spent the majority of 2008 season with the Arizona League Angels hitting .332 (67/202) with 46 runs and 21 RBI in 51 games...Named 2008 AZL Postseason All-Star...Went hitless in two plate appearances for the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

2007

Spent entire 2007 season with Rookie-level Dominican Summer League Angels, hitting .340 (82/241) in 65 games...Went 9-for-22 with two home runs and six RBI in first four contests...Had at least one RBI in first seven contests...Went 3-for-5 with a home run and a career-high four RBI against the DSL Pirates on July 24...
