Selected by the Giants in the 11th round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft following three seasons at the University of Texas…earned College World Series All-Tournament Team honors in 2015…earned a roster spot on the 2013 U.S. Collegiate National Team…originally selected by the Astros in the 26th round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out of Klein Collins (Texas) High School.

2023

Appeared in 91 games for Triple-A Jacksonville, hitting .244 (82-for-336) with 13 2B, two 3B, seven HR and 38 RBI…played 14 games for Jalisco in the Mexican Pacific Winter League.

2022

CJ Hinojosa joined the Padres organization in 2022 after parts of six Minor League seasons between San Francisco (2015-18), Milwaukee (2019) and Houston (2021)... Marked his third ML Spring Training camp (2017 w/ SF and 2021 w/ HOU)... Spent entire season with Triple-A El Paso, ranking second on the team with in doubles (33) and RBI (83) and third in hits (134)... Set career-high with 45 walks and 17 home runs. His hits and RBI were also career-highs, beating last years career numbers.

2021

Spent the entire season with Sugar Land (AAA) in the HOU's organization, earning MiLB Organization All-Star honors and posting a career-best .316 (131-for-414) AVG and .832 OPS... Led the team in hits (131) and 2B (35), tied for the most games played (104), and ranked second in runs scored (68), total bases (199) and RBI (67)...Led all of Triple-A in 2B (35), and he ranked T-4th in hits (131) and seventh in AVG (.316)...Played three different positions: shortstop (33 games, all starts), second base (34 games, 33 starts), third base (32 games, all starts), and he started in five games as a DH...Hit .384 with RISP (43-for-112) and .417 (20-for-42) with RISP and two outs...also logged 15 extra-base hits with RISP.

2020

Did not appear in any game action in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season.

2019

In 120 games in 2019 with Double A Biloxi, recorded a .280 batting average (116x415) with eight home runs and 45 RBI...Was acquired by the Milwaukee from San Francisco in exchange for Erik Kratz prior to the 2019 season. 

2018

Appeared in just 74 games in 2018 between Class A San Jose (69g) and Double A Richmond (57g)…was recovering from a ruptured Achilles...also served a 50-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance.

2017

In 2017, spent the entire season with Double A Richmond, batting .265 (99x373) with 16 doubles, 35 RBI and five stolen bases in 99 games with the club...Was a 2017 Eastern League Midseason All-Star.

2016

Climbing to double-A by the end of June in his first full season, Hinojosa posted a .348 on-base percentage across two levels while totaling 35 extra base hits...overall, combined for a .274 batting average, 72 runs scored, 21 doubles, five triples, nine homers and 53 RBI in 126 games with Class A Advanced San Jose and double-A Richmond...Was named a mid-season All-Star for SJ and was the starting shortstop for the Cal League...Transferred to double-A on June 30, where he hit .248 in 57 games.

2015

Played for Salem-Keizer (Short-Season) and hit .296 with five homers and 19 RBI in 48 games...Led the Volcanoes with 18 doubles...struck out only 15 times in 189 at-bats (one strikeout every 12.6 ABs)...All 47 starts were at shortstop...committed 14 errors.
