Made his third career Opening Day after his contract was selected by New York-AL on March 27...All of his six hits came away from Yankee Stadium (.316 AVG, 6-for-19) and during or after the fifth inning (.240 AVG, 6-for-25)...Appeared defensively in right field (eight G/one GS), second base (six G, four GS), third base (five G, two GS) and left field (one G)...Took the mound for the fifth time in his career on May 31 at Los Angeles-NL; allowed three runs, five hits, one home run in one inning pitched...Designated for assignment on June 16 and elected free agency on June 18...Signed a Minor League deal with New York-NL, but did not reach the big leagues the rest of the season...Following the season, returned for his 10th season in the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), this time with Gigantes del Cibao, where he posted a .188 average (15-for-80) with six runs scored, three doubles, one homer and one RBI in 24 games.

Did not play in 2020 as he was suspended by Major League Baseball for 80 games on 2/19 after testing positive for Boldenone, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program...his suspension has officially been served despite a 60-game 2020 season.

Batted .203 with two home runs and 19 RBI in 71 games with Pittsburgh…made 28 starts (12 in left field, seven in right field, five in center field, three at second base, one at third base)… made his first career Opening Day roster…notched his first career pinch-hit home run on Aug. 5 vs. Milwaukee with a two-run shot off Jordan Lyles…recorded three-hit games on Sept. 13 at Chicago (NL) and Sept. 26 vs. Chicago (NL)…also hit .286 with 10 home runs and 30 RBI in 51 games at Triple-A Indianapolis.

Spent entire season with Double-A Altoona…led the team in stolen bases and tied for fifth in the Eastern League in that department…also finished tied for seventh among Pirates minor leaguers in runs scored and 10th in hits and home runs…went 3-for-6 with a double, two home runs and three RBI on July 15 vs. Bowie…his second blast was a walkoff homer in the 13th inning…hit a solo home run in series-clinching win in Game Three of the Western Division Series on Sept. 9 vs. Bowie…was named a Pirates Organizational All-Star by MiLB.com.

Spent the entire season with Single-A Bradenton and hit .265 with five home runs and 45 RBI in 89 games…also stole 13 bases…had a .318 batting average with runners in scoring position…started 34 games at shortstop, 33 at second base, 13 at designated hitter and five in center field…batted .410 with a 1.068 OPS in 20 games in August.
