Combined to appear in 27 games (21 starts) between Triple-A Sugarland and Indianapolis, going 8-7 with a 5.58 ERA (68 ER in 109.2 IP)... Designated for assignment by the Astros on Sept. 1…claimed off waivers by the Pirates on Sept. 4... Claimed by the D-backs on Dec. 7.

2021

Impressed at Major League Spring Training, appearing in three games (one start) and posting a 4.26 ERA (3ER/6.1IP) with nine strikeouts...optioned to minor league camp on March 16...Prior to the start of the minor league season, was recalled by Houston on April 17 for his first Major League stint...made his MLB debut on April 18 at SEA (0ER/1IP)...picked up his first MLB strikeout on April 21 at COL (Sam Hilliard)...optioned to Triple-A on April 21...recalled for four days from April 26-29, but did not make an appearance...Began the minor league season at Triple-A Sugar Land, where he went 8-1 with a 4.70 ERA (51ER/97.2IP) with 112 strikeouts in 97.2 innings...Overall, had five separate Major League stints in 2021, combining to go 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA (2ER/14IP) in six relief appearances...Pitched as a long reliever for the Astros in September, making three apps. of 3.0+ innings... earned his first MLB win on Sept. 19 vs. ARI (1ER/4IP)...Was on the Astros Taxi Squad throughout the POSTSEASON, but did not make an appearance on an active roster.

2020

Missed the entire 2020 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery...likely would have returned to the mound if there was a minor league season, which was canceled due to COVID-19...returned to pitch at the Astros Instructional Camp in October prior to being added to the 40-man.

2019

Started the 2019 season at Class A Fayetteville, making two starts in April...underwent Tommy John surgery in June of 2019.

2018

In his first full minor league season in 2018, went 8-1 in 19 games (10 starts) at Class A Quad Cities en route to being named a Midwest League Midseason All-Star...promoted to Class A Buies Creek for his final five outings of the season.

2017

Made just one appearance in 2017 after being drafted by the Astros in the fourth round of the draft...tossed 1.0 scoreless frame for the GCL Astros.
