During past off-seasons, Senger worked part-time at Whole Foods in the Nashville area...His manager has said of him, "he’s definitely one of the best workers I’ve ever had."...Had he not been drafted, was going to become a doctor in the US Army...Had met with a recruiter and was prepared to start his preparation to practice medicine...Awarded the Mets Minor League Platinum Glove in 2023…Was behind the plate for seven of Binghamton’s franchise-record 14 shutouts…Also led Mets Minor League catchers in caught stealing rate (31 percent)...Said of his choice of position in a 2018 Journal News interview: "I enjoy blocking baseballs. I enjoy wearing baseballs off the chest, the arms, the thighs, really anywhere. It’s a little bit of a weird thing to say, but I like having bruises on my body. It makes me feel like I’m doing a little extra."...Played for Licey in the Dominican Winter League in the 2025-26 offseason...Hayden Craig Senger graduated from Lakota East (Ohio) High School before attending Miami (Ohio) University.

2025

Appeared in 33 games (23 starts) in his first Big League season over four separate stints...Caught 31 of those games...Was used as a pinch-hitter twice and as a pinch-runner once...Made his first career Opening Day roster...Made his Major League debut on Opening Day, March 27 at Houston, as a defensive replacement in the eighth...Struck out swinging in his first career at-bat...Recorded his first career hit with a double on April 2 at Miami...Recorded his first career RBI with a sacrifice fly on Aug. 21 at Washington...The following game, Aug. 22 at Atlanta, went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run...Threw out 5-of-15 (33.3%) of baserunners attempting to steal.

2024

Spent the majority of the season at Triple-A Syracuse where he appeared in 58 games with the club, batting .252/.353/.402 with 11 doubles, one triple, three home runs and 27 RBI...Following the season was part of the Postseason Taxi Squad.

2023

Went 49-261 (.188) in 81 games with Binghamton (AA)...Threw out 31 percent of baserunners (29-95) from behind the plate, which led all Mets Minor League players. 

2022

Went 63-265 (.238) in 77 games with Binghamton (AA)...Enjoyed a six-game stint with Syracuse (AAA) in June where he hit safely in four of the six contests.

2021

Split the season between Brooklyn (A+) and Binghamton (AA) where he combined to hit .263/.341/.429 with 33 runs, 18 doubles, two triples, five home runs and 14 RBI...Played for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League following the season.

2020

Did not play after the minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019

Spent the entire season with Columbia (A)... Caught 33 of 87 (37.9 percent) runners attempting to steal a base in his first full professional season.
