2023

Had 4 stints with KC and allowed one run or none in five of his seven games...Worked 2.0-plus innings in five of his seven relief appearances...Made 22 appearances (21 starts) for Omaha (AAA), going 6-7 with a 4.58 ERA (59 ER, 116.0 IP) and 94 SO against 28 BB...Pitched for Lara in the Venezuelan Winter League following the season, going 5-0 with a 2.72 ERA (15 ER, 49.2 IP) in 11 games (nine starts).

2022

Began the 2022 season with 11 outings (nine starts) between Double-A New Hampshire and Triple-A Buffalo, in which he went 5-1 with a 1.92 ERA (12 ER in 56.1 IP) and 64 strikeouts (10.2 K/9), before being selected for his big league debut on June 19... Castillo suffered a 7-1 loss at Tropicana Field in his Royals debut on Aug. 18, despite allowing just one run over 5.0 innings... He allowed just three runs on eight hits over his first two starts (9.2 IP) with the Royals, but yielded 16 runs on 15 hits over his final three appearances (9.0 IP).

2021

Spent the 2021 campaign with Double-A New Hampshire, appearing in 21 games (20 starts). ..His 11 wins on the year were the most among all Double-A hurlers, while his 102.0 innings pitched were third most in the Northeast...Marked his third consecutive season with double-digit wins and triple-digit innings...Pitched for the Cardenales de Lara in the Venezuelan Winter League and kept a 2.33 ERA (5 ER/19.1 IP) while going 1-1 in 12 appearances.

2020

Did not play due to the cancellation of the minor league season...Pitched for the Cardenales de Lara in the Venezuelan Winter League, where he went 0-1 with a 1.69 ERA (2 ER in 10.2 IP).

2019

Started 24 contests for Single-A Dunedin and went 11-5 with a career-best 2.69 ERA (39 ER in 130.1 IP)...Named a Florida State League postseason All-Star.

2018

Made 28 appearances (22 starts) for Lansing, fashioning a 10-5 record with a 4.52 ERA (66 ER in 131.1 IP)...Set career highs in innings pitched (131.1) and strikeouts (115) en route to being named a Midwest League midseason All-Star for the Lugnuts.

2017

Spent the campaign with Bluefield, going an undefeated 6-0 with a 3.80 ERA (20 ER in 47.1 IP), striking out 52 batters while walking only seven over 47.1 innings, the highest SO/9 of his career (9.89).

2016

Split his first professional season between the Jays squads in the Gulf Coast League and the Dominican Summer League, making 13 combined appearances (12 starts) and pitching to a 4.14 ERA (23 ER in 50.0 IP) and a 1.22 WHIP.
