Graduated from Jasper High School (Texas) in 2016, when he was the No. 1 overall catcher in the state of Texas by Perfect Game…was also a three-year letterman on the football team.

Pitched at four different levels in 2023, starting at Low-A Columbia before making his Major League debut on Aug. 17... Recorded a 2.10 ERA (12 ER in 51.1 IP) with 91 strikeouts (45.3 K%) in 37 outings between Low-A Columbia, High-A Quad Cities and Double-A Northwest Arkansas... Across all four levels—including the Majors—he recorded 99 strikeouts in 55.1 innings for a 16.1 K/9... Allowed a solo home run to Cal Raleigh in his Majors debut on Aug. 17 vs. Seattle, but retired all nine batters he faced over his final three appearances before suffering a season-ending right forearm strain...Struck out eight of the 13 batters he faced (61.5%) with Kansas City.
