Miles James Mastrobuoni…attended the College of San Mateo (Calif.) before transferring to University of Nevada, Reno (Nev.) for his junior season.

2024

Split the season between Triple-A Iowa and Chicago- NL, appearing in 54 games for Iowa and 50 games for the Cubs... Batted .194 (19-for-98) with three doubles and four RBI for Chicago. Made his second- straight Cubs opening day roster. Hit four home runs, recorded 22 RBI and stole 15 bases in 54 games for the Triple-A Iowa...batted .218 (47-for-216) with a .305 on-base percentage and a .329 slugging percentage. In 9 games from July 9-20, went .346 (9-for-26) with one double, one RBI and three runs scored. Appeared at third base (17 games), shortstop (10 games), second base (10 games), right field (two games) and left field (one game) with Chicago-NL. Had four stints with the Cubs in 2024 (March 28-April 18, May 4-19, June 18-July 29, Sept. 1-25).

2023

Miles appeared in 60 games for Chicago in 2023, including 24 starts at third base, five in the outfield, five at second base and one at DH...Hit .241 (32-for-133) with 24 runs, five RBI, five doubles, one home run and 13 stolen bases...In 39 games with Triple-A Iowa, hit .295 (38-for-129) with 35 runs, 14 RBI, 11 doubles, three triples, two home runs and nine stolen bases...His 13 stolen bases this season ranked fourth among Cubs hitters...Led Cubs hitters with a 92.9% stolen base rate (min. five attempts)...July 21 vs. St. Louis belted his first-career home run, a solo shot off Jack Flaherty...Reached a career-high hitting streak of four games twice: April 4-12 and Sept. 20-23...Sept. 20-23, hit .533 (8-for-15) with five runs and two doubles...From Sept. 20-26, ranked second in the Majors in batting average (.550/11-for-20) and was tied for third in hits (11) and runs (seven)...Sept. 20 recorded his first career game with multiple extra-base hits and tied his career-high with three hits (also July 18 vs. WSH) and runs scored (last July 26 at CWS).

2022

Miles made his Major League debut Sept. 22, 2022, vs. Toronto, entering the game as a defensive replacement...he appeared in eight games while on the active roster from Sept. 22-Oct. 2, picking up three hits, one walk and one stolen base... Started at second base and picked up his first major league hit, a single off Anthony Bass, Sept. 23 vs. Toronto... Hit .300 (152-for-507) with 32 doubles, 16 home runs, 64 RBI, 23 stolen bases, a .377 OBP and a .469 slugging percentage in 129 games for Triple-A Durham... Led the International League in runs (92) and tied for the league lead in hits...ranked second in doubles, fourth in on-base percentage, fifth in average and fifth in total bases (238)...tied for eighth with 51 extra-base hits and ranked ninth in walks (63)...Led Rays minor leaguers in hits, runs and total bases...ranked second in doubles and tied for third in walks... Acquired by the Cubs on Nov. 15 in exchange for right-handed pitcher Alfredo Zarraga. 

2020

Reassigned from major league spring training to minor league camp on March 11…was not part of the Rays 60-man player pool.

2019

Spent most of the season with Double-A Montgomery, with the exception of a four-day stint with Triple-A Durham from July 4-7…ranked 5th in the Southern League with a .299 avg. and 7th with a .367 OBP…named to the SL midseason and postseason All-Star teams, the latter as the league's "Best Utility Player"…made starts at five different positions for the Biscuits: left field (34), right field (27), second base (23), center field (15) and third base (3)…named to the Rays Organizational All-Star Team by MLB.com.

2018

Ranked 7th among Rays minor leaguers with 55 BB, including 50 BB with Class-A Charlotte to tie for 9th in the Florida State League…named to the FSL midseason All-Star Team…earned an Aug 20 promotion, ending the season with the Biscuits.

2017

Named a Midwest League midseason AllStar in his first full professional season…ranked 8th among Rays minor leaguers with 51 BB.

2016

Earned New York-Penn League midseason All-Star honors after signing with the Rays.
