Made his professional debut with the Rookie-Level Arizona League Padres 1, hitting .253 (42-for-166) with four 2B, three 3B, seven HR, 30 runs scored and 24 RBI in 43 games played...also converted nine of his 10 stolen base attempts...Began his career hitting .175 (7-for-20) in 10 June games, .242 (15-for-62) in 16 July games and .313 (20-for-64) in 16 August games...Hit safely in his final six contests to finish the campaign at a .455 clip (10-for-22), including four multi-hit efforts...Hit in the 2nd through 7th slots in the batting order, spending the most time hitting out of the #2 spot (12 games), slashing .348/.446/.783 with five of his seven home runs.
