Played collegiately at Cal State-Bakersfield...in his three years at Bakersfield, he recorded a 4.10 ERA (99ER/217.1IP) with 162 strikeouts...Selected by the Phillies in the 12th round of the 2014 draft...signed by Phillies scout Shane Bowers...An offseason acquisition by the Astros, Davis was invited to Major League Spring Training on Nov. 16, 2022...is signed to a Minor League contract for the 2023 season.

Between Boston (50g) and Minnesota (two games)...he recorded a 5.79 ERA (36ER/56IP) with 64 strikeouts...Held left-handed hitters to a .198 opponent batting average with 22 strikeouts and just one home run.

2021

Limited opposing batters to one hit in 11 at bats in his five games with the Pirates...Stranded all eight of his inherited runners while pitching with the Bucs; left the bases loaded twice...Began season with Philadelphia, where he was scored upon in three of his four relief appearances (3.0ip/7er)...Was acquired from the Phillies on 8/26 in exchange for a player to be named (RHP Joel Cesar on 9/21)...Was recalled to active roster on 9/11; made his Pirates debut on 9/12 and retired all three Kansas City batters he faced in the sixth inning... Entered game on 9/13 at Kansa City with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth inning; threw one pitch to retire the lone batter he faced...Entered game on 9/14 at Cincinnati (game 2) with bases loaded and no outs and stranded all three runners (strikeout and a GIDP)...Was charged with his only run while pitching with the Pirates on 9/21 vs. Chicago (NL).

2019

Spent majority of the season with Lehigh Valley (AAA), but had seven stints with PHI: 4/20-22, 5/11, 5/13-17, 6/3-12, 7/4-5, 7/16-18, 8/24-end of season...Selected as an International League midseason All-Star, his first professional All-Star selection...In April and May with Lehigh Valley, allowed only two runs in 23.1 IP (0.77 ERA) over 15 appearances...Pitched 2.0 or more innings in 5 of his 14 ML appearances and his 3.0 IP on 5/14 vs MIL were a career high.

2018

Began season with Lehigh Valley (AAA) and was shuttled between there and Reading (AA) in April and May...Had his contract selected from Lehigh Valley on 6/18...Made his ML debut on 6/20 vs STL and recorded his first career strikeout... Posted a 2.60 ERA (5 ER, 17.1 IP) in his first 14 career appearances, 6/20-7/24, striking out 24...
