In 24 games with the Rainiers hit .293 (22-for-75) with 15 runs, four doubles, four home runs, 20 RBI and six walks with a .905 OPS. Traded by Seattle to Baltimore in exchange for right-handed reliever Mike Baumann and Minor League catcher Michael Perez on May 22. Recalled by Baltimore on July 30 but did not appear in a game...optioned July 31.

Split the season between Double-A Montgomery and Triple-A Durham in the Tampa Bay Rays Minor League system, batting .256 (63x246) with 40 runs, 20 doubles, 12 home runs, 41 RBI, getting on base at a .331 clip and slugging .484 (.815 OPS)...Was promoted to Triple-A Durham on June 9, and hit safely in his first eight games, batting .400 (12x30) with four doubles, four home runs, 12 RBI and a 1.1340 OPS...overall hit .263 (30x114) with 18 runs, 11 doubles, six home runs and 23 RBI, getting on base at a .318 clip and slugging .518 (.835 OPS) in 30 games with Durham...Set career-bests in doubles, home runs, slugging percentage and OPS...On seven-day Injured List from Aug. 7-Sept. 29...Went 3-for-4 with three home runs and six RBI on June 18 vs. Charlotte for Triple-A Durham...Acquired by the Mariners from the Rays on Nov. 6 in exchange for minor league catcher Tatem Levins.
