2009
Began season with Philadelphia...won three straight decisions, April 8-April 24...did not allow a run in nine straight appearances (10.1 ip), April 17-May 2...went 3-0, 1.26 (14.1 ip, 2 er) through his first 14 games of the season...placed on 15-day disabled list with left oblique strain, June 19...began rehab assignment with GCL Phillies then transfer of rehab assignment to Clearwater, July 15 (pitched three games in-all)...reinstated July 17...did not allow an earned run or a walk in his final 12 appearances (8.0 ip), July 17-23...placed on 15-day disabled list with left oblique strain, July 23...rehab assignment with GCL Phillies and Clearwater (pitched two games)...reinstated, September 15... finished tied for second in the NL in relief wins (six) and winning percentage (.750).

Went to camp with the Phillies as a non-roster invitee...Began the season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (AAA)...Finished T-2nd in the International League with 2 complete games...Allowed 1 ER in 3 of his first 4 starts...itched 1.0 scoreless inning in his lone relief appearance of the season, 5/3 at Buffalo...Went 2-0, 2.11 ERA in 4 June starts...had his contract purchased on 7/21, but was optioned back to Scranton on 7/24 without appearing in a game...Allowed 3 ER or less in 19 of 24 starts (79.1%), including 11 straight, 5/26-8/9...Did not allow a HR in 8 consecutive starts, 6/7-8/3.

Began season on San Diego's Opening Day roster...recorded his second career win in his first start, April 4 vs. Los Angeles (NL)...placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain...began rehab assignment with Triple-A Portland before being activated, then optioned back to the club, July 7...named Pacific Coast League's Pitcher of the Week, June 30-July 6.

Began season with Triple-A Portland and led the club in wins (10)...made his first professional start, April 22 at Omaha, allowing one run on two hits in 5.0 innings...ranked seventh in the Pacific Coast League in ERA (3.50)...posted a 2.88 ERA in his first nine appearances (eight starts)...had his contract selected by San Diego, August 26...ranked fifth in the PCL in ERA (3.50) at time of promotion...made his Major League debut, August 28 at Houston, allowing one hit in 1.0 inning of relief...made his first Major League start, August 31 vs. Colorado and pitched 7.1 scoreless innings, earning his first career win...tossed 14.1 scoreless innings to begin his Major League career...went 1-2 with a 2.33 ERA in three starts and 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in six relief appearances for the Padres...allowed just one home run (Reggie Sanders) in 26.2 innings.
2001
Split the season with Double-A Mobile and Triple-A Portland...posted a 2.70 ERA (23.1 ip, 7 er) in his first 20 appearances with Mobile... issued just one walk over an 18-game span (24.0 ip), July 2-August 11 with Portland.
2000
Began season on the disabled list due to a right elbow injury...activated, May 5 and assigned to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga...did not allow a run in his final seven appearances (8.1 ip)...transferred to Double-A Mobile, June 19 where he finished his season...allowed more than one run in just five of his 35 appearance with Mobile.
1999
Began season with Single-A Ft. Wayne...posted a 0.77 ERA (11.2 ip, 1 er) in his first 11 appearances of the season...converted 10 consecutive saves opportunities, May 10-June 4...transferred to Rancho Cucamongo, August 20 and appeared in six games...led Padres minor league system and finished fourth in the Midwest League with 20 saves for Single-A Ft. Myers.
