Originally signed with Oklahoma University out of high school and made six appearances for the Sooners' World Series qualifying squad in 2010, posting a 3.38 ERA over 13.1 innings and six appearances... Transferred from Oklahoma to Navarro College (TX) and was a part of the 2011 Junior College World Series Championship Team posting a 2-2 record with a 1.50 ERA over 24.0 innings pitched... Finished his collegiate baseball career at Vanderbilt University in 2012 and led the Commodores with a 3.50 ERA in 27 appearances posting a 6-3 record with two saves... Was college teammates with Giants' Mike Yastrzemski and Athletics' Tony Kemp.
