Made both his Triple-A and Major League debuts in 2022…combined to hit .171 with two RBI and a .452 OPS in 17 games with San Diego (14 games) and Milwaukee (3)....Was 4-for-21 (.190) against left-handed pitchers, 2-for-14 (.143 against right-handers)....Had a .250 average with runners in scoring position....Started four games in left field, three in center field and two in right field…did not commit an error in 17 games overall in the outfield....Was 0-for-3 as a pinch hitter....Made four starts batting ninth, three in the eight spot and one each batting sixth and seventh....Also combined to hit .332 with 16 home runs, 65 RBI, a .974 OPS and 85 stolen bases in 114 games with Double-A El Paso, Triple-A Nashville and Triple-A San Antonio....Led all of Minor League baseball in stolen bases, ranked third in hit by pitches (27), tied for third in runs (114) and tied for sixth in sacrifice hits (8)…led all full season Minor Leaguers in on-base percentage (.447), ranked fourth in batting average and 11th in OPS....Had career highs in on-base percentage, runs, hits (145), doubles (33), home runs, RBI, walks (66), stolen bases, extra base hits (51), hit by pitches and sacrifice hits....Batted .426 (46-for-108) with a 1.295 OPS against left-handed pitchers compared to .301 (99-for-326) with an .868 OPS against right-handers....Hit .336 with the bases empty and .326 with runners on…however, hit .277 with runners in scoring position and was 2-for-14 (.143) with a grand slam with the bases loaded...Batted .326 or better in every month except July when he spent most of the month in the majors and was just 7-for-29 (.241) in eight games...Combined for a .361 batting average in his home ballparks where he stole 60 bases in 56 games....Went 44-for-78 (.564) with seven doubles, five home runs, 18 RBI and a 1.429 OPS when putting the first pitch in play....Started 70 games in center field, 17 in left field and 15 in right field…did not commit an error in 102 games and 236 total chances overall in the outfield…now has a 160-game errorless streak as an outfielder in the minors dating back to his last miscue on May 30, 2021…had four assists, all as a center fielder. Also hit .357 in 12 starts as the designated hitter...Batted .325 with a .454 on-base percentage, 82 runs scored and 58 stolen bases in 76 games batting leadoff....Was rated as the fifth-best prospect in the Milwaukee organization by Baseball America following the season and the A’s eight-best following the trade…was listed as the A’s sixth-best prospect by MiLB.com...DAY-BY-DAY: Began the season at Double-A San Antonio where he hit .344 with nine home runs, 37 RBI, 37 stolen bases and a 1.085 OPS in 49 games…ranked second in the Texas League in stolen bases despite spending just two months with the Missions…had a grand slam and a season-high four RBI April 19 at Amarillo…had his best single-month batting average of 2022 when he hit .361 with a .505 on-base percentage and 1.116 OPS in 20 games in April…had his first career two-homer game May 3 at Corpus Christi…went 0-for-1 two days later against the Hooks but walked two times, was hit by a pitch three times and scored a career-high tying five runs…had a 10-game hitting streak from May 11 to 21 and went 18-for-40 (.450) with 11 runs, nine RBI, 11 stolen bases and six multiple hit games during the streak…reached base safely in 40 consecutive minor league games from May 25 to Aug. 4…hit .329 with a .453 on-base percentage over that span…was promoted to El Paso on June 7 and hit .315 with a .935 OPS and 23 stolen bases in 28 games with the Chihuahuas…went 4-for-5 with four runs scored, a double, two home runs and three RBI on June 9 at Albuquerque…it was his second career two-homer game…stole a base in seven consecutive games from June 28 to July 6 (nine stolen bases total)…batted .344 with 20 stolen bases in 23 games in June…was selected by San Diego on July 12 and made his ML debut that day at Colorado, going 2-for-4 with a RBI in a start in center field…singled off Austin Gomber in his first at bat in the second inning for his first big league hit…had a RBI single in the eighth inning for his first RBI…stole his first base July 14 at Colorado…hit safely in each of his first four games through July 15 (5-for-15, .333), but then went 1-for-20 over his final 13 contests…was hitting .222 in 14 games with the Padres when he was traded to Milwaukee on Aug. 1 with Dinelson Lamet, Taylor Rogers and minor leaguer Robert Gasser for Josh Hader…was assigned to Nashville and hit .329 with 25 stolen bases in 37 games overall with the Sounds…had a season-high 17-game hitting streak from Aug. 10 to 28 (25-for-66, .379)…was recalled by Milwaukee on Sept. 1 and went 0-for-8 in three games before he was optioned back to Nashville on Sept. 8…finished the ML portion of his campaign with an 0-for-13 streak…went 20-for-60 (.333) with three home runs, 14 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 15 games with the Sounds following his option…stole a career-high five bases Sept. 14 against Jacksonville…went 1-for-4 in one postseason game…hit .182 with a double and a RBI in 16 games for Toros del Este in the Dominican Winter League.
