Began season with Columbus (AAA) in CLE’s organization...Had a brief stint with CLE, 8/6-8, but did not appear in a game...Designated for assignment on 8/15 and claimed by MIN on 8/17...Assigned to St. Paul (AAA), where he spent the remainder of the season.
2021
Signed as a free agent with Chicago-NL prior to the season, going 2-1 with a 2.78 ERA (10ER/32.1IP) with AAA Iowa before having his contract selected by the Cubs on July 29...Recorded a 10.80 ERA (11ER/10.0IP) over 10 games with Chicago-NL before being optioned on Aug. 21 and designated for assignment one week later...Claimed on waivers by the Dodgers on Aug. 31 and by the SF Giants a week later, posting a combined 3.40 ERA in 33 games at the Triple-A level in 2021 (45.0IP, 35H, 17ER, 19BB, 50SO).

Jake was claimed off waivers by the Giants, Jan. 13, and was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento, Jan. 24…spent part of the campaign at the Giants Alternate Site.
2019
Bounced back and fourth between the Los Angeles-AL and Triple-A Salt Lake... Appeared in 18 games over seven stints for Los Angeles-AL and posted a 6.84 ERA (20er, 26.1ip)... Had a 4-4 record with a 5.26 ERA (22er, 37.2ip) and went 8-for-12 in save opportunities over 34 games with Salt Lake.
2018
Began year with Double-A Mobile and went 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA (13 IP - 3 ER) in seven appearances before being promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake April 28...Appeared in 17 games for Bees and went 1-4 with three saves and a 3.97 ERA (22.2 IP - 10 ER) and 21 strikeouts before receiving first promotion to Majors June 15... Made Major League debut with Angels, June 16 at Oakland and worked one scoreless inning... Optioned back to Salt Lake June 18 and would make two appearances for Bees before being recalled for second stint with Angels June 27... On June 27 at Boston, suffered season ending right fibula fracture while covering home plate on a wild pitch... Underwent right ankle surgery June 29 with Dr. Kenneth Jung of Kerlan-Jobe in Los Angeles.

Began season with Adv.-A Inland Empire, making three starts for 66ers before promotion to Double-A Mobile, Apr. 24 ... Made BayBears debut Apr. 26 vs. Pensacola and would remain with Club for remainder of regular season ... Led Mobile staff in innings pitched (124.2) and starts (23) and ranked second in wins (7) and strikeouts (81) ... Went 3-2 with a 2.91 ERA (46.1 IP - 15 ER) across eight starts from May 28-July 9.
