Was recalled to Texas’ active roster on 9/26 and took a loss in his Major League debut during TEX’s final game of the season on 9/28 at CLE (L, 1.2 IP, 3 H, 4 R-3 ER, 1 HR, 1 BB, 1 SO, 41 pitches/29 strikes), allowing a walk-off HR to the Guardians’ Brayan Rocchio in the 10th…the outing made Corniell just the second pitcher in Rangers history to take an extra-innings relief loss in his MLB debut, joining Corey Lee on 8/24/99 vs. NYY… also joined Yerry Rodríguez (10/5/22) and Jonathan Johnson (9/27/98) as the only pitchers in club history to make their MLB debuts in TEX’s final game of the season...spent the balance of the campaign in the Minors, going 1-2 with a 1.89 ERA (8 ER/38.0 IP) over 13 games/starts with ACL Rangers (Rk.), Frisco (AA) and Round Rock (AAA) after returning to action in July following recovery from ‘Tommy John’ ligament replacement surgery performed July 2024…made four starts for ACL Rangers, 7/3-15 (2 ER/5.2 IP) before being assigned to Frisco, where he compiled a 0.45 ERA (1 ER/20.0 IP) with one walk and 20 strikeouts over six starts…ranked among TL leaders from 7/19- 8/30 (min. 20.0 IP) in WHIP (first, 0.30), ERA (second) and SO/ BB (second, 20.00)…promoted to Round Rock on 9/2, making three starts in September (1-1, 3.65 ERA, 5 ER/12.1 IP)…posted a 1-2 record and 7.50 ERA (15 ER/18.0 IP) with 19 SO/seven BB in five starts for Surprise in the Arizona Fall League, including a pair of six-strikeout outings on 10/4 at Mesa and 11/4 vs. Salt River.

Did not see official game action due to recovery from ‘Tommy John’ ligament replacement surgery performed 6/24 by Rangers team physician Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington…he is expected to return to baseball activity in mid-to-late 2025… made two appearances for Texas in two Cactus League ‘A’ games last spring, allowing three ER in 3.1 IP, but was placed on Double-A Frisco’s 7-day Injured List on 4/5 and transferred to full-season Injured List on 6/25.

Enjoyed a breakout campaign, going 8-3 with a 2.92 ERA (33 ER/101.2 IP), 119 strikeouts and just 31 walks over 23 games/17 starts for Down East and Hickory…set career highs in wins, innings, strikeouts and games as he claimed the Nolan Ryan Pitcher of the Year award at season’s end…paced all Texas Minor Leaguers (min. 100.0 IP) in strikeouts per 9.0 (10.53), while also ranking highly among organization pitchers in strikeouts (2nd) and wins (T3rd)…twirled gem on 6/13 for Down East (6.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R-ER, 2 BB, 9 SO, 1 HR) in what would be his final outing before earning promotion to Hickory… made two relief appearances for Hickory (6/20-27), but was then used exclusively as a starter for final 11 appearances of season from 7/4-9/8…named South Atlantic League Pitcher of the month for August after posting 3-0 record, 1.55 ERA (5 ER/29.0 IP) and 32 strikeouts/5 walks in 5 starts for the Wood Ducks…recorded career-high 10 strikeouts in Crawdads’ 3-2 defeat in Game 1 of the SAL Divisional Series on 9/12 vs. Greenville (L, 6.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R-1 ER, 1 BB, 10 SO), which was his first-ever Postseason outing.

Went 3-5 with three saves and a 5.45 ERA (40 ER/66.0 IP) over 22 games/four starts with Down East in his full season debut…posted a higher strikeouts per 9.0 figure in starts (11.7) than in relief (9.1)…was far more effective vs. RHB (.177 BA/.530 OPS) than LHB (.312 BA/1.000 OPS).
2021
Posted 1-3 record and 6.98 ERA (30 ER/38.2 IP) in 13 G/9 GS for the ACL Rangers (Rk.) in professional debut…was 1-3, 7.67 (25 ER/29.1 IP) with .311 opp. BA in 9 starts, compared to 0-0, 3.86 (4 ER/9.1 IP) with .176 opp. BA in 4 relief appearances… entered season ranked as the Rangers no. 30 prospect according to Baseball America.
