Julian Antonio Fernandez...nickname is “billete” translated as “the ticket”...enjoys hunting birds and horse racing...pitched for Veracruz in the Mexican League in 2024 and has pitched for Augilas and Estrellas in the Dominican Winter League (2021-25)...originally signed by the Rockies as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic in 2012.

2025

Began his season with Los Angeles (NL) before being claimed by Washington... Was recalled by the Nationals on Sept. 23 and pitched that night at Atlanta... Opponents went 3-for-18 (.167) against him this season, including 1-for-10 (.100) with the Nationals... Earned his first career win on Sept. 27 vs. Chicago White Sox (1 IP, 2 SO)... Recorded his first career hold on Sept. 24 at Atlanta (1 IP, H, R, ER, HR, BB)... Appeared in one game with Los Angeles on July 7 at Milwaukee (2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, BB, SO)... Returned to MLB in 2025 for the first time since appearing in six games with Colorado in 2021.

Played for El Aguila de Veracruz in the Mexican League, going 1-1 with a 1.82 ERA (7 ER/34.2 IP) in 34 games...struck out 43 against 12 walks...Named a Mexican League Sur Mid-Season All-Star.

2023

Signed by Toronto to a Minor League contract on Jan. 6...assigned to Triple-A Buffalo where he went 1-0 with a 10.61 ERA (11 ER/9.1 IP) in seven relief appearances before being released on May 25.

2022

Spent the entirety of the 2022 season with Colorado’s Triple-A team in Albuquerque...Went 2-5 with a 6.63 ERA (42 ER/57.0 IP) in 58 games out of the bullpen, including 32 walks and 65 strikeouts... His 58 appearances, 65 punchouts and 10.26 SO/9 were all the highest marks of his career.

2021

Made his Major League debut on Sept. 5 vs. Atlanta, his first of six Major League appearances...Had his contract selected from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sept. 1, his first career stint on the active roster...Made his debut on Sept. 5 vs. Atlanta … pitched a scoreless sixth inning before coming back out for the seventh and allowing three runs on three hits, including a home run to Austin Riley … of his 21 total pitches, 11 were 100 MPH or faster and five were over 101 MPH … his 102.4 MPH strikeout pitch to Dansby Swanson tied for the fourth-fastest pitch in the NL at the time...His 102.8 MPH on Oct. 2 at Arizona was the fastest pitch in Rockies history in the Statcast Era (since 2015) and tied for the fourth-fastest pitch in the Majors in 2021...Scored upon in three of his six outings … allowed three runs in each of his first two career appearances and two runs in his last appearance on Oct. 2 at Arizona...Went 3-2 with a 2.53 ERA (42.2 IP, 12 ER), 16 walks and 42 strikeouts in 44 total appearances between Double-A Hartford and Albuquerque … in 14 appearances with the Isotopes after July 26, went 1-0 with a 0.64 ERA (14.0 IP, 1 ER), four walks and 18 strikeouts.

2020

Did not pitch due to the COVID-19 pandemic...Attended his second Major League Spring Training, his first since 2018…made one relief appearance, Feb. 27 at Oakland, and took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits in one inning pitched.

2019

Missed the entire season as he continued his recovery from Tommy John surgery...Prior to the season, was claimed off waivers from San Francisco by Miami on Nov. 19, 2018...Placed on the Marlins' 60-day injured list on Feb. 13...Returned to Colorado as a Rule 5 Draft return by Miami, Oct. 19.

2018

Missed entire season recovering from Tommy John surgery in San Francisco's organization. Giants had selected him second overall in MLB Phase of Rule 5 draft on December 14, 2017...Claimed off waivers from Giants by Miami on November 19, 2018.

2017

Spent the entire season with the Asheville Tourists (A), going 1-2 with a 3.26 ERA (21er, 58.0ip) in 51 relief outings...struck out 57 batters over his 58.0 innings of work...Was acquired by San Francisco from Colorado in the Rule 5 Draft on December 14.

2016

Posted a 1-2 record with a 1.17 ERA (3er, 23.0ip) in 21 games for the Boise Hawks (A)...Was named a Northwest League midseason All-Star...Recorded a league-leading 13 saves in 13 opportunities.

2015

Appeared in 24 games for the DSL Rockies and went 3-2 with a 3.55 ERA (13er, 33.0ip) before being promoted to Rookie Level Grand Junction to end the season...His four saves with the DSL Rockies were tied for the team lead, while his 17 games finished were the most on the club.

2014

Appeared in 18 games out of the bullpen for the DSL Rockies (R), going 1-0 with a 5.60 ERA (11er, 17.2ip)...Limited opposing batters to a .206 average in the second half of the season.
