Konrad Albert Schmidt...played at Santa Rosa (CA) Junior College, where he helped the Bear Cubs win the California Junior College state title his sophomore year and was named Bay Valley Conference Player of the Year...was named the 2005 Northern California JC Player of the Year and was a Northern California All-America team selection... transferred to play for the University of Nevada-Reno in 2007... graduated from Petaluma (CA) High School, where he was the All-Northern California catcher in 2003...signed by Jim Dedrick.

Spent the majority of the season with Reno (AAA) and also appeared in 4 games with Arizona over 2 stints: May 21-26 and Sept. 1 through the end of the season...went 0-for-7 with 2 RBI, one run, and one walk in 4 games with the D'backs...drove in a run with a bases loaded walk in Arizona's 7-5, 13-inning loss vs. Colorado on Oct. 1. RENO/WINTER BALL: In his second straight campaign with the Aces, batted .277 (92-332) with 24 doubles, 7 home runs, 47 RBI, and 43 runs scored in 93 games...batted .380 (63-166) with 19 doubles, 4 home runs, and 33 RBI in 45 home games, compared to just .175 (29-166) with 5 doubles and 3 home runs in 48 road contests...posted a .359 (28-78) clip against left-handers... of his 22 multi-hit games, 9 were 3-hit games and one was a 4-hit game...went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles in a 14-13 win vs. Sacramento on April 23...was 3-for-4 with a double, home run, a season-high 4 RBI and 3 runs scored, May 19 vs. Oklahoma City...batted .188 (9-48) over his first 13 games of the season, SCHMIDT then hit .367 (29-79) with 11 doubles, 2 homers, 14 RBI, and 20 runs scored across 21 games from April 23-May 30 to lift his season average to .299...average dropped to .237 after he batted .167 (19-114) over 33 games from May 31-July 23...raised final average to .277 with a .385 stretch (35-91) over his final 26 games from July 24 through the end of the season...enjoyed a 10-game stretch from Aug. 14-26 during which he batted .525 (21-40) with 4 doubles, 2 homers, and 10 RBI...had at least one RBI in 11 of 14 games from Aug. 8-26 (14 RBI total)...ranked 3rd in the PCL in August with a .375 average (27-72)...appeared in 90 games behind the plate, posting a .988 fielding percentage (8 E/670 TC)...threw out 25.5 percent (14-55) of attempted base stealers...after the season, hit .152 (7-46) with one RBI and 5 runs scored in 16 games with Cibao of the Dominican Winter League.

Spent the entire season with Triple-A Reno, hitting .280 (97-for-346) with 24 doubles, 3 triples, 9 home runs and 45 RBI in 92 games...Named to the Pacific Coast League midseason All-Star Team...Led all PCL catchers with a 27.8 caught stealing percentage (20-of-72)...Batted .310 (70-for-226) prior to the All-Star Break and hit .364 (35-for-108) vs. left-handers.

Became the eighth D-back in 2010 and 96th all-time to make his big league debut when he was called up in September after having spent the entire season with Double-A Mobile...In 107 games with the BayBears, hit .315 (124-for-394) with 48 runs scored, 30 doubles, 3 triples, 11 home runs and 65 RBI...his batting average ranked third among all D-backs' minor leaguers...he led the BayBears in batting average, slugging percentage (.490) and OPS (.863), while finishing second in doubles, home runs, RBI and total bases (193)...Led the Southern League with 10 intentional walks, while his slugging percentage was third and his batting average was fourth...Hit .345 (40-for-116) with 18 runs scored, 16 doubles, a triple, 2 home runs and 15 RBI against left-handed pitchers, while posting a .302 average (84-for-278) with 30 runs scored, 14 doubles, 2 triples, 9 home runs and 50 RBI against right-handed pitchers...Hit .318 (41-for-129) with 8 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs and 52 RBI with runners in scoring position,...Hit .342 (27-for-79) with 7 runs scored, 10 doubles and 9 RBI in 24 games in July...Named to the Southern League Midseason All-Star Team...Finished the season with a 12-game home hitting streak that began on Aug. 10 (.419, 18-for-43)...In 4 Southern League playoff games, hit .286 (4-for-14) with 3 runs scored, a double, home run and 2 RBI...Selected from Double-A Mobile on Sept. 13 and made his Major League debut that same day @ Reds, drawing a pinch-hit walk in the ninth inning...Made his first career start and collected his first big league hit with a second-inning single on Oct. 1 @ Dodgers...also got the starting nod behind the plate for the final game of the season on Oct. 3 @ Dodgers.

Led the D-backs farm system with a .309 average (132-for-427) for Single-A Advanced Visalia and Triple-A Reno while setting career-highs with 132 hits, 30 doubles, 9 homers and 54 RBI...At Single-A Advanced Visalia, led the team with a .304 batting average and a .443 slugging percentage...his batting average ranked 10th in the California League...Recorded a season-high 4 hits on July 7, July 21 and Aug. 25, including 3 homers and 7 RBI in those games...Hit .310 (62-for-200) with 10 doubles, a triple, 2 homers and 43 RBI with runners on base...Homered in back-to-back games on July 6 and 7 with 3 homers and 5 RBI...Posted a .356 average (77-for-216) with 17 doubles, a triple, 6 homers and 33 RBI after the All-Star break...Promoted to Triple-A Reno on August 30 and hit .438 (7-for-16) with 2 doubles and 4 RBI in 5 games with the Aces.
2008
Opened the season at Single-A South Bend...Hit .333 (13-for-39) with 5 doubles and 4 RBI in the 10 games leading up to his promotion to Single-A Advanced Visalia on July 10...Hit safely in 20 of his final 22 games from Aug. 7-31, including a season-high 8 game hit streak from Aug. 14-22...Recorded a career-high 5 hits on Aug. 25, with a double, a triple, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored...With Visalia, hit .352 (38-for-108) off right-handers and .341 (29-for-85) in 22 home games.

Went 3-for-4 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI in the final game of the season on Sept. 5 @ Spokane...Homered in back-to-back games on July 25 and 26 for a total of 6 RBI...Had a season-high 4 hits on Sept. 1 vs. Tri-Cities.
