Began the season with San Diego and averaged .238 (8-for-49) against right-handed pitchers while in the majors ... Made his debut in the Orioles organization with Norfolk on 5/29 at Columbus, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and one run scored ... Earned International Player of the Week honors (8/28-9/4) after going .500/.577/.962 (13-for-26), with one double, one triple, three home runs, four runs scored, seven RBI, and two walks over eight games ... Appeared in just 14 games for the Arizona Rangers (Rookie), hitting safely in 10 of those… was placed on the disabled list on June 28 after undergoing season-ending right shoulder surgery.

2010

Opened the season on the disabled list with a fractured right hand before being activated by the Arizona Rangers on July 19…reached base safely in 15 of 1st 16 starts…hit safely in 9 of 10 starts from Aug. 5-20 at .465 (20-43) to go from .242 to .364…had a .329 average vs. RHP…was 2-for-5 with an RBI 2B in Rangers' lone AZL playoff game vs. AZL Brewers on August 30.
