Began the season with Triple-A Iowa; recalled on May 21; optioned to Iowa on May 30; had two stints on the 7-day Injured List (6/23-7/1 & 7/12-8/12); recalled by Chicago-NL on August 23 for the remainder of the season...Went 1-for-12 with two runs scored, an RBI and a hit-by-pitch in 11 games with the Cubs...Made his MLB debut on May 22 vs. Atlanta; entered as a defensive replacement in the ninth inning...Scored his first run after pinch running in the 10th inning on May 28 at Milwaukee; tallied his first RBI with a sacrifice fly on Aug. 26 at Pittsburgh; notched his first hit in his final MLB game of the year on Sept. 29 vs. Cincinnati, a bunt single off Brent Suter in the seventh inning...Batted .263/.347/.432 (62-for-236) with 16 doubles, eight home runs, 33 runs scored, 24 RBI, 25 walks, six hit-by-pitches and one stolen base in 64 games with the I-Cubs...Delivered a two-run walk-off single in the ninth inning as the I-Cubs rallied from four runs down in the ninth inning on April 16 vs. Louisville...Hit four of his eight homers in two games: April 9 at St. Paul and Aug. 15 (G1) vs. Columbus; now has four career multi-home run efforts, all since 2023...Combined to appear in 57 games at shortstop, 10 games at third base and seven games at second base; posted a .963 fielding percentage (9 E, 242 TC)

Luis split the 2023 season between Double-A Tennessee (58 games) and Triple-A Iowa (66 games)...Batted a combined .271 (123-for-454) with 24 doubles, 20 home runs, 80 RBI and a .361 OBP between Tennessee and Iowa...Reached career-highs in hits (123), home runs (20), RBI (80), runs scored (72), doubles (24), batting average (.271), OBP (.361) and OPS (.817)...Hit .400 (24-for-60) with five home runs, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored in 15 games spanning from April 18-May 7...May 5 recorded a career-high five hits at Rocket City...April 23 vs. Chattanooga went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI...The night marked his first- career multi-homer game...Was named as the SOU Player of the Week for the week of April 23 with Tennessee...Had a seven-game hitting streak from July 18-26 hitting .333 (10-for-30) with two RBI and four runs scored...Finished the season fifth in batting average (.284), eighth in hits (66) and seventh in extra-base hits among Tennessee hitters...Was named a Chicago Cubs MiLB.com Organization All-Star.
