William Timothy Owen White...he and wife, Maddie, were married on Dec. 17, 2022…named 2018 North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year after finishing the season with a 10-1 record and a 0.22 ERA with 101 K’S in 63.2 IP at Jesse C. Carson High School in China Grove, N.C., near Charlotte…also played shortstop and finished as the school’s all-time leader in hits, runs, RBI, wins, and strikeouts…played football and basketball as well for the Cougars…was rated as the second-best high school prospect in North Carolina and 59thbest prospect overall in the 2018 draft by Baseball America…had committed to the University of South Carolina…enjoys hunting and fishing in his free time.

2023

Made his Major League debut, going 0-1, 11.25 ERA (5 ER/4.0 IP) with 4 SO/2 BB in two relief outings spanning three stints with Texas (6/13, 7/23-26, 10/2-end of season)…spent balance of the campaign at Frisco (AA) and Round Rock (AAA), where he combined to go 4-5, 4.22 ERA (51 ER/108.2 IP) with 80 strikeouts over 25 G/24 GS…recorded Minor-League career highs in appearances, starts, and innings, but posted a career-worst 6.6 SO/9 figure…opened season with Frisco and went 2-3, 3.51 ERA (22 ER/56.1 IP) in 12 G/GS…earned Texas League ‘Pitcher of the Week’ honors for 6/11 after tossing 7.0 SHO IP on 6/7 at Corpus Christi (W, 7.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 SO)...recalled by the Rangers on 6/13 and made his MLB debut in relief that night vs. LAA (L, 2.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R-ER, 1 BB, 2 SO, 1 HR)…struck out first batter faced (Chad Wallach), but took the loss after surrendering go-ahead two-run HR to Hunter Renfroe in the sixth inning…was optioned back to Frisco on 6/14…was recalled from Round Rock on 7/23 and made 2nd big-league appearance on 7/26 at HOU (ND, 1 H, 2 R-ER, 1 BB, 2 SO, 1 HR)…optioned back to Triple-A on 7/27 and went 1-2, 5.45 ERA (22 ER/36.1 IP) in 9 G/8 GS for the Express until he was recalled by Texas for a 3rd and final time on 10/2.

Combined to go 9-2 with a 3.59 ERA (32 ER/80.1 IP) and 104 strikeouts over 15 games/14 starts between Hickory (A+) and Frisco (AA)…registered career highs in starts, innings, wins, and strikeouts…11.65 strikeouts per 9.0 innings figure ranked second among Texas farmhands (min. 80.0 IP) behind RHP Emiliano Teodo (12.27)...opened season with Hickory and went 6-2 with a 3.99 ERA (26 ER/58.2 IP) and 12.4 SO/9 figure over 11 G/10 GS before earning promotion to Frisco on 6/23...went undefeated (3-0) and posted a 2.49 ERA (6 ER/21.2 IP) in four starts for the ‘Riders, earning Texas League Player of the Week honors for 6/27-7/3 after tossing 5.1 no-hit innings in his 2nd Double-A start on 7/1 vs. Corpus Christi...went undefeated (8- 0) over last 10 starts of the season (beg. 5/14), posting a 3.14 ERA (20 ER/57.1 IP) and .662 opp. OPS over that span…named organization’s Starting Pitcher of the Month for June: 3-0, 2.22 ERA (6 ER/24.1 IP), 35 SO/5 BB, .253 opp. BA over four GS… was on Injured List from 7/26-end of regular season due to arm fatigue…returned to make two postseason relief appearances, incl. 2.0 SHO IP, 6 SO in Frisco’s championship-clinching win on 9/27 at Wichita…entered season as No. 7 prospect in the Texas farm system according to Baseball America, improving to No. 5 in the publication’s mid-season update…attended a player development seminar for a select group of top Texas prospects at Globe Life Field in January 2023.

Made professional debut, going 4-1 with a 3.06 ERA (12 ER/35.1 IP) in 9 G/8 GS while racking up strikeouts at an impressive rate (14.3 SO/9)…made his season debut for Down East (A) in May before missing next three months with a broken bone in his hand…returned to Wood Ducks’ rotation on 8/10…recorded 10+ K’s in each of his final 3 GS of the year: 3-0, 1.93 (4 ER/18.2 IP), 2 BB, 33 SO...earned win in Game 4 of the Low-A East Championship Series against Charleston (5.0 IP, 3 R-2 ER)…was named the Arizona Fall League’s “Pitcher of the Year” after guiding the Surprise Saguaros to a championship berth: 5-0, 1.91 ERA, 29 SO, league-high 28.1 IP…rated by Baseball America as the no. 7 prospect in the TEX system in the publication’s 2022 preseason rankings...attended a player development seminar for a select group of top Texas prospects at Globe Life Field in Jan. 2022

Did not see official game action after minor league season was canceled due to pandemic…was named to the organization’s Fall Developmental League roster and averaged more than one strikeout per inning: 14.0 IP, 12 H, 5 R, 7 BB, 15 SO.

2019

Began season in extended spring training and did not see official game action after undergoing ‘Tommy John’ ligament replacement surgery performed by Dr. Keith Meister on 5/1...tabbed by Baseball America as Texas’ 14th-best prospect entering the season.

Did not see official action…participated in the fall instructional league.
