Married to Amanda...Is a 2014 graduate of Palm Beach Gardens High School in Jupiter, Fla. where he garnered First-Team All-Conference honors three times and was First-Team All-State as a senior...As a senior, hit .395 with seven home runs, 30 RBI and just seven strikeouts…also was 5-0 with a 0.66 ERA...Was drafted in the 32nd round by the Rockies in 2014 but opted to attend the University of Virginia instead...Was selected seventh overall by the D-backs in 2017…the only other No. 7 pick by the D-backs was Archie Bradley in 2011...Played three seasons at the University of Virginia (2015-17), batting .325 with 41 doubles, six triples, 28 home runs, 178 RBI and 100 walks in 187 games…was teammates with Jake McCarthy from 2016-17...Helped lead the Cavaliers to a College World Series title in 2015, hitting .302 with seven RBI in the NCAA Tournament…hit a game-tying, two-run home run off Walker Buehler and then a go-ahead, and eventual game-winning, single inthe series-clinching Game 3 win over Vanderbilt...Is named after Corey Pavin, the 1991 PGA Tour Player of the Year and 1995 U.S. Open winner...Dad, Tim, was a golf agent, representing Pavin and Gary Player among others.

2022

Limited to 75 games in his second full season with Arizona, batting .220 (54-for-245) with nine doubles, nine home runs, 33 RBI and 28 walks...Made 40 starts in right field, 18 at DH and eight at first base...Homered in back-to-back games on two occasions in May (May 3-4 @ Marlins and May 23-24 vs. Royals)...Hit his first career pinch-hit homer on May 21 @ Cubs...Had a career-high four hits on June 26 vs. Tigers...Optioned to Triple-A Reno on July 1…played two games with the Aces before going on the injured list from July 4-Sept. 19 (sprained right wrist)...Reinstated from the injured list on Sept. 20 and recalled from Reno on Sept. 23… hit .313 (10-for-32) with three doubles and two RBI in his final 10 games with the D-backs.

2021

Named the D-backs’ Rookie of the Year by the Arizona chapter of the BBWAA after batting .267 (133-for-498) with 27 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs and 49 RBI in his first full Major League season... Ranked among NL rookies in triples (T-1st), hits (3rd), doubles (3rd), walks (3rd), total bases (3rd, 201), extra-base hits (T-3rd, 42) and RBI (5th)... 83 first-half hits were second-most by an Arizona rookie to Travis Lee (96 in 1998)... Hit 12th first-pitch, leadoff homer in club history April 25 @ Braves [GM 1]... 14-game hitting streak (.420, 21-for-50) from May 20-June 3 was the third-longest by a D-backs rookie all-time... Ranked fourth in the Majors with 34 hits in May... Entered the season ranked as the D-backs' No. 9 prospect by Baseball America…also tabbed as having the Best Strike-Zone Discipline.

Hit .270 (10-for-37) with 1 home run and 4 RBI in 12 games in his first season with Arizona…made 5 starts at first base, 2 in left field and 2 in right...Selected from the Alternate Training Site on Sept. 10...Made his Major League debut on Sept. 12 vs. Mariners and notched his first hit (single off Yoshihisa Hirano)...Hit his first home run (off A.J. Ramos) on Sept. 25-2 vs. Rockies

Appeared in 123 games for Double-A Jackson, hitting .291 with 29 doubles, 6 triples, 12 home runs and 67 RBI...Named a Southern League postseason All-Star…ranked among SL leaders in hits (2nd, 128), total bases (2nd, 205), doubles (3rd), OPS (3rd, .836) and RBI (5th)...Named MiLB.com's SL Player of the Month for July (.341, 4 HR, 18 RBI)...Earned SL Player-of-the-Week honors twice: July 8-14 and Aug. 19-25.
