Went 1-5 with a save and a 5.48 ERA in 18 games, including 16 starts, with Double-A Midland in a season shortened by a seven-week stay on the injured list with a sprained right elbow … also made two rehab starts with the A’s ACL affiliate and was 1-5 with a 5.40 ERA in 20 games, 18 starts, overall. Struck out 93 batters in 71.2 innings, an average of 11.68 per nine innings…tied for seventh in the A’s farm system in strikeouts. Yielded a career-high nine home runs. Allowed a .238 opponents batting average, which broke down to .222 (34-for-153) against right-handed hitters and .258 (31-for-120) against left-handers. Opponents hit .196 with six of his nine home runs with the bases empty, .305 with runners on … yielded a .333 average with runners in scoring position. Began the year in the Dominican but was transferred to the Braves affiliate in Florida when the Complex League season began in June and went 1-3 with a save and a 3.20 ERA in 10 games, including six starts, with the FCL Braves…was promoted to Single-A Augusta on Sept. 7 and went 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA in three starts with the Green Jackets…combined for a 3-3 record, one save and a 2.29 ERA in 13 games, including nine starts, overall…struck out 67 batters in 39.1 innings, an average of 15.33 per nine innings…had 49 strikeouts with the Braves FCL club, which tied for seventh in the league…allowed a .181 opponents batting average, including .106 against left-handed hitters and .220 against right-handers…surrendered all four of his home runs to righties…opponents hit .130 with runners in scoring position…posted a 0.52 ERA in six games on the road…earned the first save of his career with 1.2 scoreless and hitless innings of relief on July 8 against the Pirates-Gold…struck out 10 batters in 4.0 innings in the second game of an Aug. 31 doubleheader against the Pirates-Gold team…went 0-1 with a 1.80 ERA in five starts in August…pitched for Orientales in the Dominican Winter League following the season and was 1-0 with a 16.20 ERA in five relief appearances.

Made his professional debut with the Braves affiliate in the Dominican Summer League and was 2-3 with a 3.82 ERA in 17 relief appearances…struck out 37 batters in 33.0 innings but also walked 22 and had a career-high 17 wild pitches…did not surrender a home run…allowed a .248 batting average, including .214 with a .554 OPS against left-handed hitters and .266 with a .746 OPS against right-handers…made his debut on June 3 at the Dodgers (2.0 ip, 4 h, 2 r, 2 er, 1 bb, 2 so)…recorded his first professional win July 20 against the Rays1 (1.1 ip, 1 h, 2 so).
