Married to Lauren…has a daughter, Dakota....Attended the University of Oregon from 2009-11....Awarded "Team Captain" Award his junior year after playing in a school-high 74 games...Was teammates with current Angels' pitcher, Tyler Anderson....Originally selected by the Pirates in the 46th round of the 2008 MLB Draft out of Plum Senior (Pa.) High School, but chose to attend the University of Oregon…was selected by the Dodgers in the 5th round in 2011....Father, Tom, pitched in the Cleveland organization for seven seasons (1973-79) and reached AAA in three times…was on Cleveland's active roster in 1977 but did not make his Major League debut.

2022

Went 2-2 with 38 saves, a 2.35 ERA (14 ER in 53.2 IP) and 59 strikeouts in 55 games with Yakult of Nippon Professional Baseball…finished second in saves in the Central League...Returns to MLB after four seasons (2019-22) with the Yakult Swallows of Nippon Professional Baseball…went 15-8 with 80 saves, a 2.94 ERA (76 ER in 232.2 IP) and 251 strikeouts in 236 games...Was a part of two consecutive Central League Championships (2021-22).

2018

Went 7-3 with 1 save, a 5.55 ERA (44 ER in 71.1 IP) and 81 strikeouts in 43 games (1 start) with Triple-A Albuquerque.

2015

Appeared in 27 games between three levels in Marlins organization after returning from Tommy John surgery on June 3, going 0-1 with 1.93 ERA (37.1 ip/8 er)...Made four appearances with Single-A Jupiter, tossing 7.0 scoreless innings...Transferred to Double-A Jacksonville on June 15 and allowed four earned runs in 13.1 innings prior to being promoted to Triple-A New Orleans on July 25...In 13 games with NOLA, was 0-1 with one save and 2.12 ERA (17.0/4)...Made two appearances on Miami's roster. Had contract selected on August 20 and made Major League debut that night vs. Philadelphia. Allowed three runs on five hits with one strikeout in 0.2 inning...Used three times out of bullpen in first stint, allowing three runs on seven hits over 3.2 innings prior to being optioned on Aug. 26...Recalled from NOLA on September 8 and finished season in Marlins bullpen. Made three appearances over remainder of season, allowing four runs on five hits in 3.0 innings.
