Was a non-roster invitee to Major League spring training camp, his first (16g, .278)...Spent the regular season at Class AA Chattanooga, where he made 65 apps around 3 separate stints on the 7-day Injured List with a right rotator cuff strain (4/29-5/6), right ankle sprain (6/24-6/30) and right ankle tendinitis (7/2-remainder of the season)...Suffered the right shoulder injury in April while sliding...The right ankle injury led to surgery on 7/18 to repair the torn peroneal tendon...Entered the season rated by Baseball America the 13th-best prospect in the organization.
