Graduated from Providence School of Jacksonville (Fla.)...was a member of USA Baseball’s Under-18 National Team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Pan American Championships in Panama...started all nine games in the championships and was named to the All-Tournament team...in that tournament hit .528 with 19 hits and five doubles and made two appearances as a pitcher (3IP, 5K).

On 4/30 was recalled from AAA-Louisville and made his Major League debut in the first game of that day's doubleheader vs. STL...he and RHP Chase Petty became the sixth pair of Reds teammates since 1900 to make their Major League debuts in separate legs of a doubleheader (last: Rawly Eastwick and Pat Darcy, 9/12/74 vs ATL)...In the second inning of the 11-6 loss on 5/3 vs. WSH recorded both his first career hit and RBI on a run-scoring single off Trevor Williams...Placed on the 10-day IL on 5/6 (left forearm fracture)...suffered the injury after crashing into the wall while tracking down a fly ball on 5/5 at ATL...underwent surgery to repair both bones in his left forearm on 5/6...transferred to the 60-day IL on 5/9...Slashed .303/.410/.528 with four home runs in 24 games at AAA-Louisville.
