2022

Spent most of the season at Triple-A Round Rock, where he went 4-7 with a 4.52 ERA and one save in 29 games (16 starts).....had 114 strikeouts in 89.2 innings... Went 1-2 with a 10.97 ERA in four games (two starts) with Texas... Had three stints with the team (6/10-6/15, 9/11-9/12 and 9/27-10/2)... Earned his first Major League win on 9/27 at Seattle as he tossed 3.2 innings of scoreless relief (2h, 1bb, 3k) in a 5-0 victory.....notched his first career strikeout (Eugenio Suárez) in that outing, coming in his fifth career game... Was claimed off waivers by Milwaukee from Texas on 11/10.

2020

Tyson made his major league debut with the Cubs, appearing in two games...allowed three runs in 5.0 innings in his first major league action...Was recalled August 17 as the 29th man for the doubleheader against St. Louis and made the start in the second game...allowed two runs in 2.0 innings in the Cubs’ 5-4 win...was again recalled September 5 and pitched 3.0 innings out of relief vs. St. Louis, allowing one run...was optioned back to the South Bend alternate site after the game.

2019

Tyson was named a Southern League mid-season All-Star...combined to go 7-8 with a complete games and a 4.35 ERA (66 ER/136.2 IP) in 26 starts between Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa...Began the season with Tennessee, going 4-3 with a 2.56 ERA (25 ER/88.0 IP) in 15 starts...his 2.56 ERA led Tennessee starting pitchers...Named Cubs Minor League Pitcher of the Month for April after going 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA (3 ER/19.0 IP) in four starts...was selected as Southern League Player of the Week, May 6-12 (1-0, 1 ER, 13.0 IP)...Struck out a season-high 11 batters in 7.0 innings, June 3 at Montgomery (7.0 IP, 6 H, 3 ER)...Was promoted to Triple-A Iowa, July 4...went 3-5 with a 7.58 ERA (41 ER/48.2 IP) in 11 starts in Triple-A...Between Tennessee and Iowa, combined to limit foes to a .252 batting average against, including a .230 mark by right-handed hitters.

2018

Spent the season with Single-A Myrtle Beach, going 9-9 with a 3.54 ERA (50 ER/127.0 IP) in 23 starts, including one complete game...struck out a career-high 126 batters, while walking just 35, in 127.0 innings...Spun 7.0-scoreless innings, May 2 vs. Carolina...allowed just three hits and one walk while fanning seven batters.

2017

In his first campaign with a full season minor league club, he went 6-7 with a 4.48 ERA (60 ER/120.2 IP) in 28 games (20 starts) with Single-A South Bend...he struck out 99 batters and walked 38.

2016

In his first pro season, he went a combined 2-1 with a 3.14 ERA (10 ER/28.2 IP) in eight appearances (five starts) between rookie league Mesa and Single-A Eugene...had a 3.97 ERA (10 ER/22.2 IP) in six games (four starts) with Eugene.
