The Texas Rangers are hosting auditions to become a member of the 2026 Texas Rangers Six Shooters!

The Texas Rangers Six Shooters are looking for dynamic, high-energy performers to join our team! This is your chance to showcase your talent on a major league stage, fire up crowds at Globe Life Field, and be part of the action all season long. As a Six Shooter, you’ll have the opportunity to represent the Texas Rangers with style and spirit all while making Texas Rangers home games even more memorable for our fans.

Audition Information

VIRTUAL APPLICATIONS -

To be considered for the Texas Rangers Six Shooters, you must submit the following components:

Virtual Application FAQs:

  • Please submit your introduction video and dance performance as two separate files. If file size prohibits you from sharing both videos in one email, please ensure your first and last name is included in the subject line of both video submission emails.
  • Please wear attire that is appropriate regarding your chosen performance style - no specific colors or styles of clothing are required. We want to see your personality shine!
  • Performances can be freestyle, self-choreographed, or outside choreographed. There are no required dance technical elements that should be included, just show us what you’ve got! If you choose a pro-team pom style, you can perform with or without poms.

Once virtual applications have closed, a round of cuts will be made. If you are chosen to move forward, the next round will be our virtual preliminaries. If you submitted an application, you will receive an email response as to whether or not you will be advancing to our virtual preliminary round.

VIRTUAL PRELIMS (By Invitation Only):

Applicants chosen to move on to virtual preliminaries will receive a video via the email they submit their virtual application of choreography that they must learn, perform, and submit to us to be eligible for in-person auditions. You will have one week to send us your video submission (email to sixshooters@texasrangers.com) for the virtual preliminary round.

**Disclaimer: You will be expected to remember this choreography for later rounds of the audition process. We will *quicklygo over the choreography that you should have learned and come to auditions prepared with. We will NOT be re-teaching this section of choreography in later rounds.

Virtual Preliminary FAQs:

  • Please address the subject line of your virtual preliminary video to include your first and last name as well as “virtual preliminary video”.
  • Please wear form fitting athletic attire with your athletic shoe of preference as well as performance ready hair and makeup.
  • You can perform with or without poms.
  • No speaking introduction is necessary for this submission.

Once virtual preliminaries have closed, a round of cuts will be made. If you are chosen to move forward, the next round will be our in-person semi-finals. If you submit a video for our virtual preliminary round, you will receive an email as to whether or not you will be advancing to our semi-finals.

IN-PERSON AUDITIONS (Semi-Finals + Finals – By Invitation Only):

Applicants selected to advance to our Semi-Final round of auditions will receive an email with the details and further instructions regarding BOTH semi-final and final rounds of auditions. A round of cuts will be made between semi-finals and final auditions. Final auditions will be by invitation only.

Registration Information

  • Hiring will be handled through an open audition process. Along with completing the online application, please upload your resume along with photos for consideration (non-returnable and used for identification purposes). An application, resume, head shot, full body shot, and the aforementioned videos are all required in order to be considered for this position.
  • All candidates must be present to attend both in-person rounds of auditions, and no exceptions will be made.

Expectations & Requirements

  • Must be able to perform activities and interact with fans on camera in front of 40,000+ people.
  • Prior entertainment experience required. Previous experience as a cheerleader, pep squad, or drill team member or some dance classes preferred.
  • Individuals must have outstanding and mature communication skills and a positive, energetic personality.
  • Applicants must also have stamina and fitness level capable of performing in conditions of summer heat for long periods of time.
  • Individuals must be available to work at least 50 Rangers home games throughout the MLB Season (March-October), other special events as needed, and are required to have flexible schedules and be available for all team meetings, games, and appearances during the term, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. Onboarding for the 2026 season will begin after the team is announced and training for the 2026 season will begin in January.
  • Must be willing to use your personal social media pages to act as an ambassador of the Texas Rangers.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, courteous, and demonstrate good moral character.
  • Impeccable listening skills and the ability to work with brief instruction are required.
  • Must be flexible and able to handle adverse situations with a quick and professional response.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have graduated high school by November 8th, 2025, a resident of the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and have reliable transportation.
  • Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of the game of baseball is required.
  • Knowledge of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club is preferred.
  • Candidates must provide a current headshot and full-body shot that will become the property of the Texas Rangers for identification purposes.
  • Ability to commit for a one-year term of service exclusive of other professional performance teams.
