The 2019 Dr Pepper Texas Rangers Winter Warmup will take place on Friday, January 25 at Texas Live! In Arlington. Details of the team's new event were announced today. u5:p
The Winter Warmup will honor a number of baseball personalities and feature appearances by Texas Rangers past and present. This year's event will also include country artist Sam Riggs performing in concert following the awards program on the Live! Arena stage. u5:p
The 2019 Dr Pepper Texas Rangers Winter Warmup will be held in Live! Arena on the first floor of Texas Live! and will take place from 6:00-9:00 p.m.u5:p
Tickets are now on sale texasrangers.com/winterwarmup with tables seating 8 or 10 as well as general admission tickets available for purchase. Net proceeds benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.u5:p
The honorees will include the recipients of the 2018 Texas Rangers team awards, who have been selected in voting conducted by the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. u5:p

Choo batted .264 with 21 home runs and 62 RBIs in 146 games in 2018. The OF/DH led the club in runs (83), hits (148), walks (92), OBP (.377), and OPS (.810) in earning his first Rangers' Player of the Year Award.u5:p
Leclerc was 2-3 with a 1.56 ERA and 12 saves in 59 relief appearances in 2018. The right-hander posted the lowest relief opponents average among Major League qualifiers (.126) with the second lowest relief ERA in the AL. He finished the year as Texas' closer, converting all 12 save opportunities beginning August 4.u5:p
Kiner-Falefa had a .261 average with four homers and 34 RBIs in 111 games in his first big league season. He started at four different positions, including 38 games at third base and 35 games at catcher.
DeShields had a team high 20 stolen bases in 106 games as the outfielder endured three different stints on the disabled list in 2018.u5:p
