Everyone loves a rookie card. But what about the players who have yet to make their big league debut? Thanks to Bowman, card fanatics can collect their favorite prospects before they ever reach the Major Leagues.

On the latest episode of MLB.TV's Carded, MLB Pipeline's Sam Dykstra sits down with Alex Giaimo to rip open some packs of 2023 Bowman baseball cards. While Dykstra has the info on the prospects, offering insight into players like the Giants' Kyle Harrison and the Orioles' Milkman, Colton Cowser, Giaimo knows her cards, helping the prospect scribe out when he pulled a special "blue lava" parallel for Royals prospect Gavin Cross.

Baseball writer and MLB Network Insider Joel Sherman then gets his father's baseball card collection appraised. While we may be used to seeing vintage cards protected behind slabs of plastic, Sherman's collection looks more like mine: Wrapped up in a variety of plastic sandwich bags.

But just what is the collection worth?

Former knuckleballer Tom Candiotti then looks back at his favorite and least favorite cards from his big league career. His least favorite? His mustachioed 1987 Topps card, which left the pitcher wondering, "Why was I ever growing a mustache?"

Ke'Bryan Hayes takes a peek at his new Topps Stadium Club card and thinks that he looks a "little skinny" in the pic. We'll have to see how next year's looks now.

Ryan Dempster then shared his baseball card collection, which comes complete with four Ken Griffey Jr. rookie cards. Somehow, Dempster has a card that might even top those: He has an autographed 1-of-1 Shohei Ohtani Topps card that he stumbled on while looking through a box of cards in his attic recently.
