Globe Life Field, the Rangers' new ballpark in Arlington, Texas, is beginning to take shape.
Construction on the club's new facility is progressing "extremely well" and excavation on the project is nearly complete.
"Everything is going very well and as anticipated," Rangers senior vice president of project development Jack Hill said. "We're very pleased with the progress we've made."

The official groundbreaking for the Rangers' new home, located just south of the current Globe Life Park in Arlington, began on Sept. 28, 2017, and the construction was underway a week later. HKS and Manhattan Construction Company, the design architect and construction manager for the project, are expected to have the ballpark completed by March 2020.
The 40,000-person-capacity ballpark will include a retractable roof to control the facility's climate during the warm months of summer.
"Last week we poured the first columns, getting ready for the elevated deck, which we'll start here in about three weeks," Manhattan Construction Company vice president Wesley Weaver said. "We're getting close to excavation finally being done. I know there are a lot of people who will be ready for the trucks to stop rolling into this area."
