ARLINGTON -- On Friday, the Rangers announced their full 2026 player development and Minor League staff across all affiliates, including several names new to the organization.
Most notably, Triple-A Round Rock manager Doug Davis and Double-A Frisco manager Carlos Cardoza departed the organization, leaving those spots open.
Managers of the four full-season affiliates:
- Triple-A Round Rock: Kyle Moore
- Double-A Frisco: Chad Comer
- High-A Hub City: Carlos Maldonado
- Single-A Hickory: Nick Janssen
Moore joins the Rangers after one season as the bench coach for the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate, and the incumbent Texas affiliate managers were each promoted one level: Comer from High-A Hub City to Double-A Frisco, Maldonado from Single-A Hickory to Hub City and Janssen from the ACL Rangers to Hickory.
Prior to working with the Cubs' organization, Moore's managerial experience included four levels in Baltimore's system, where he compiled a 321-286 (.529) record over five seasons (2018-19, 2021-23).
“He was just somebody that [farm director] Josh Bonifay, who led that search, felt like he possessed the right attributes and the character that fit really well with this organization,” said Rangers general manager Ross Fenstermaker. “He is the right fit for the player demographic that we are going to have. I'm pretty excited to add him to the group, and looking forward to seeing what he does this season.”
On the coordinator side, Kenny Holmberg will return for his fifth season as the field coordinator and also maintain his duties as infield coordinator for an 11th season. Other coordinators include: Janssen (assistant field), Jon Goebel (pitching), Thomas St. Clair (assistant pitching), Tyler Wolfe (hitting), Jared Walker (assistant hitting) and Kevin Torres (catching).
The 2026 season will mark Wolfe’s fourth with the Rangers, following two years as Frisco’s hitting coach and one with the Complex League team. This will be his first as hitting coordinator. Walker joins him after three years in the Giants' farm system.
