Kansas City -- The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Austin Bibens-Dirkx from Triple-A Round Rock and optioned left-handed pitcher Yohander Méndez to Round Rock.
Bibens-Dirkx is scheduled to start the series finale against the Royals on Wednesday at Kansas City. He had been scheduled to start for Round Rock tonight, as he last pitched on Thursday versus Sacramento (6.1 IP, 8 H, 4 R-ER).
