RHP Ross Wolf released by Rangers to sign with SK Wyverns in Korea

Wolf had been a non-roster invite to Rangers' 2014 major league spring training

Arlington, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced today that right-handed pitcher Ross Wolf has exercised an out in his minor league contract and will pursue an opportunity with SK Wyverns in the Korean Baseball Organization.

Wolf had cleared waivers and been outrighted to the minor leagues on November 4. He then re-signed with Texas, agreeing to a 2014 minor league contract with an invitation to spring training on the same day. Wolf, 31, went 1-3 with a 4.15 ERA (22 ER/47.2 IP) in 22 games/3 starts for Texas in 2013, returning to the major leagues for the first time since 2007. He spent most of the season's final four months on the Rangers' 25-man roster.
