Ben Rice, Yankees

Rice exited the Yankees' game on May 3 with a left hand contusion, but X-rays were negative.

Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves

Acuña was placed on the 10-day IL on May 3 with a left hamstring strain.

Joe Ryan, Twins

Ryan was removed from his start on May 3 after two batters due to right elbow soreness.

Ranger Suarez, Garrett Crochet and Sonny Gray, Red Sox

Suarez exited his start on May 3 due to right hamstring tightness.

Crochet's MRI came back clean, according to Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy. Crochet was placed on the IL with left shoulder inflammation on April 29.

Gray (right hamstring strain) threw live batting practice on May 1; the Red Sox have yet to set an exact date for his return.

Cal Raleigh, Mariners

Raleigh was still awaiting results from an MRI to decipher if there’s anything more detailed to the right side discomfort that held him out of the Mariners’ lineup for the second straight day on May 3.

George Springer and Addison Barger, Blue Jays

Springer left Toronto's game against the Twins on May 2 in significant pain after he took a pitch off his left foot, the exact spot where he fractured his left big toe last month. X-rays showed no new fracture, but Springer was out of the lineup May 3.

Barger (left ankle sprain) began what should be a brief rehab assignment with Single-A Dunedin on May 3.

Jackson Chourio, Andrew Vaughn, Brice Turang and Jacob Misiorowski, Brewers

Chourio and Vaughn, both dealing with fractures in their left hand, were set to return from their rehab assignments ahead of the Brewers' series opener against the Cardinals on May 3. But Chourio fouled a ball off his left ankle on May 2. X-rays were negative, but the injury could delay his return.

Turang was scratched from the lineup on May 3 due to an illness.

Misiorowski went through his post-start run routine on May 2 with no issue after exiting his May 1 start in the third inning with a right hamstring cramp.

Mookie Betts and Brusdar Graterol, Dodgers

Betts (right oblique strain) is working on increasing his swing speed and is getting closer to beginning a rehab assignment.

Graterol (recovery from right shoulder surgery) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on May 2.

Jhoan Duran, Phillies

Duran (left oblique strain) touched 100 mph in a bullpen session on May 2 in Miami. He could be activated without going on a rehab assignment, Phillies interim manager Don Mattingly said.

Yusei Kikuchi, Angels

Kikuchi landed on the 15-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation on May 3, four days after he left his start after two innings with left shoulder tightness.

Ronny Mauricio, Mets

Already facing the prospect of an extended absence for starting shortstop Francisco Lindor, the Mets on May 2 lost his backup, Mauricio, to a fractured left thumb. Mauricio was placed on the 10-day IL on May 3.

Nick Lodolo, Reds

Lodolo, who has been on the IL because of a blister on his left index finger that developed in his final spring start on March 22, is being targeted for activation on May 8.

Yandy Díaz, Rays

Díaz exited the game on May 1 against the Giants at Tropicana Field due to left side tightness. He was out of the lineup through May 3.

Ryan Helsley, Orioles

Helsley was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 1, retroactive to April 29, with right elbow inflammation.

Germán Márquez, Padres

Márquez (right forearm nerve irritation) has been placed on the 15-day IL.

Gleyber Torres, Will Vest, Kenley Jansen and Justin Verlander, Tigers

Torres left the Tigers' May 2 game against the Rangers with left side tightness. He was out of the lineup on May 3.

Vest was placed on the 15-day IL on May 2 (retroactive to April 29) with right lateral forearm inflammation.

Jansen is day to day with right groin tightness, which he has been dealing with for a couple of weeks.

Verlander (left hip inflammation) was scheduled to throw his next bullpen session May 2 or 3.

Wyatt Langford and Brandon Nimmo, Rangers

Langford (Grade 1 right flexor strain) joined the team in Detroit on May 2 and will focus on cardio and conditioning until he is cleared to hit, which should take at least a week.

Nimmo came out of the game against the Tigers on May 1 due to right hamstring tightness, the same issue that caused him to leave the Rangers' previous game, on April 29 against the Yankees. He remained out of the lineup on May 2.

Jeremy Peña, Hunter Brown, Josh Hader, Tatsuya Imai, Nate Pearson and Nick Allen, Astros

Peña (Grade 1 right hamstring strain) worked out with the team on May 1 ahead of starting a rehab assignment.

Brown (Grade 2 right shoulder strain) has started a throwing program and is playing catch up to 120 feet per a May 1 update.

Hader (left biceps tendinitis), Imai (right arm fatigue) and Pearson (right elbow soreness) are all scheduled to make rehab appearances for Triple-A Sugar Land on May 5. Hader can’t come off the 60-day injured list until May 24, but the Astros are hopeful that Imai can rejoin the big league rotation following his May 5 start for the Space Cowboys.

Allen (mid-back spasms) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Corpus Christi on May 1.

Pete Fairbanks, Marlins

Fairbanks (nerve irritation) was scheduled to play catch on May 2.

Jared Jones, Pirates

Jones (right elbow surgery) will make his next rehab start on May 5 with Triple-A Indianapolis.
