Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer / Chief Financial Officer
Kip Elliott enters his 26th year with the Twins in 2017 and was named to his current title on December 21, 2016. He previously served as Executive Vice President, Business Administration and Chief Financial Officer since January of 2012, after serving as Chief Financial Officer since January of 1999.
Elliott joined the Twins in May of 1992 as Accounting Manager and held the position of Controller from 1995-98. He was named Senior Vice President on August 28, 2006. He was employed by the public accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand from 1989-92.
Elliott, who was named the "CFO of the Year" by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal in 2010, is responsible for overseeing the accounting, human resources, procurement, technology, ticket operations and ballpark operations departments, including management of the annual financial reporting for the organization and the financial relationship with Major League Baseball. As part of the senior management team, he also plays a key role in the structuring and implementation of the club's strategic plan, as well as the ongoing facility planning for Target Field, Century Link Sports Complex, and the Dominican Republic.
Elliott serves on, Board of Directors for the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Sports Minneapolis Board of Directors. Additionally, he is a member of the University of Northern Iowa Accounting Advisory Council as well as on the Finance Committee of the Hudson Hockey Association.
Elliott, a certified public accountant, was raised in rural Fredericksburg, IA, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa in 1989. Kip, wife, Jodi, and children, Carter, Maxwell and Maree, make their home in Hudson, WI.
