Senior Vice President, Operations
Matt Hoy, who begins his 39th year with the Twins in 2024, was named Senior Vice President, Operations on January 18, 2012. His responsibilities include oversight of ballpark operations, guest and premium services, security, office services, grounds, maintenance, concessions and merchandise sales. Hoy is also the Twins’ liaison to the Minnesota Ballpark Authority and Delaware North.
Hoy and his staff have played a key role in Target Field’s continued standing as one of the premier sporting and entertainment venues in the Upper Midwest, successfully executing operations for annual ballpark enhancements and jewel events such as Major League Baseball’s Postseason (2010, ‘19, ‘20 and '23) and All-Star Game (2014); multiple sporting events including Minnesota prep tournaments, an international soccer match (2016), NCAA football games (2017, ‘19 and '23) and the 2022 Discover NHL Winter Classic®; and 23 concerts and music festivals.
Hoy joined the Twins in January of 1986 as a member of the sales staff, and has held positions as Director of Novelty Operations and Director of Sales. He was the Director of Operations before his promotion to Vice President in April of 1992. Away from the ballpark, Matt supports the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.
Hoy was born in St. Paul and attended Blake School in Hopkins, MN. Matt and his wife, Katie, reside in Mound, MN.
