Back-to-back champs! Talons triumph over Bandits for AUSL title

July 26th, 2026

The Utah Talons are – once again – champions of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League. The Talons became back-to-back AUSL champs with a 6-1 win over the Chicago Bandits on Sunday.

The Talons started off hot as Jadelyn Allchin hit a two-run homer in the first inning, the first of three home runs the Talons hit in the game. Starting pitcher Montana Fouts went the distance while holding the Bandits to one run on eight hits. It’s the second straight year Fouts – the AUSL Pitcher of the Year – delivered a complete game for the Talons when they clinched the title.

The Talons won Game 1 of the AUSL Championship Series, 2-1, on Saturday to set themselves up for the sweep.

The Talons and Bandits were facing off in the finals in a rematch of the 2025 AUSL title series, which the Talons also swept, winning 3-1 in Game 1 and 1-0 in Game 2.

The Talons earned their spot in the championship series by finishing with the league’s best record, while the Bandits defeated the Cascade in a thrilling play-in game to advance to the finals.
