Spider-Man: Brand new celebration! Bo dons superhero mask after home run

Home run celebrations have been one of the most creative outlets for MLB players during a game. And on Friday night in New York, the Mets went Marvel.

When launched a solo home run to left field off Braves starter Spencer Strider in the first inning, the club debuted a new home run celly: a Spider-Man mask.

Bichette, whose homer was his seventh of the season, donned the light-blue/gold superhero mask as he went through the Mets' dugout getting high fives from his teammates.

Bichette must have liked the new celebration because he launched a grand slam in the second inning.

This makes a lot of sense. After all, Spider-Man is originally from Queens. And your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man wouldn't have far to go to make an appearance at Citi Field.

The latest chapter of the superhero saga, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," opens in theaters on July 31.
