Bellinger, who is having an MVP-caliber first half, edged Yelich for the most votes across all of baseball, 3,685,170 to 3,646,071. Pederson, who has hit 20 home runs despite playing almost exclusively against right-handed pitching, just made the cut at ninth. Teammate Alex Verdugo finished 11th among NL outfielders.

Bellinger was an All-Star in 2017, when he later won the NL Rookie of the Year Award. Pederson was an All-Star in '15, the year he finished sixth in the NL Rookie of the Year Award voting.

Dodgers infielders Max Muncy (first base), Enrique Hernandez (second base), Corey Seager (shortstop) and Justin Turner (third base) each finished fourth at their positions. Seager was the closest of the four to reach the Starters Election, finishing 83,335 votes behind Colorado’s Trevor Story. Seager, out with a hamstring strain, won’t be ready to play in the All-Star Game.
