'Look how far Max is back': Freddie feels for teammate with Judge at plate

Who can leave the reigning National League Player of the Month and one of the most feared hitters in baseball awestruck?

, who happens to be the reigning American League Player of the Month.

Dodgers first baseman was mic'd up during the top of the first inning of Saturday's game between the Dodgers and Yankees in Los Angeles, and when Judge stepped to the plate, Freeman tried to encapsulate how good the reigning AL MVP truly is.

"He's a force," Freeman said before adding some semi-serious humor. "I'm glad I'm not playing third base. Poor Max [Muncy]. Look how far Max is back."

Muncy was stationed as far back as he was allowed, which was the cut of the outfield grass. Not a bad idea considering Judge has been ripping the baseball even more frequently than usual of late.

"It's incredible," Freeman continued. "[Judge] can cover so many different kinds of pitches, and he's so strong -- he can hit the ball out everywhere. Just one of those special talents that we, as baseball fans, get to watch. It's a treat."

But don't get Freeman wrong -- he loves watching Judge launch mammoth home runs, just not against his Dodgers.

"Hopefully he doesn't hit anything for the next couple of days," Freeman said with a smile. Too bad, Freddie. Judge slammed his 19th homer of the season in the sixth inning to give the Yankees a four-run lead and made a sensational catch to help seal New York's 6-3 win.
