October 9th, 2020

added another Dodgers record to his resume in the third inning of Thursday night’s 12-3 victory over the Padres in Game 3 of the National League Division Series with his 64th postseason base hit.

That hit broke a tie with Steve Garvey for the most in franchise history. Turner’s one-out single drove in Corey Seager for his 38th postseason RBI, extending the franchise record he already held. In 59 postseason games, Turner also has nine home runs and 13 doubles.

“Records are cool,” said Turner. “Championships are better.”

Turner was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Game 3. He also drove in a run in Game 2 with a seventh-inning sacrifice fly.

The 35-year-old Turner is in the final season of a four-year deal with the Dodgers. He ended the regular season with a streak of 31 consecutive games having reached base.
