DENVER -- continued his climb to the top of the Dodgers' on-base streak list (since 1900), solidifying his hold on third place as he logged his 52nd consecutive game reaching base safely in Los Angeles' 12-3 win over Colorado with a third-inning single to right field off Rockies starting pitcher Jose Quintana.

Ohtani trails only Shawn Green, who reached base safely in 53 straight games in 2000, and Hall of Famer Duke Snider, who set the high-water mark in 1954 with a 58-game streak.

Ohtani’s streak started on Aug. 24, 2025. He passed Ron Cey’s fifth place mark of 47 games from 1975-76 earlier this year, and he passed “Wee” Willie Keeler’s 1900-1901 mark of 50 games on Sunday.

He has reached safely in 35 straight games against the Rockies -- dating back to July 2021 -- and has an active 14-game hitting streak against Colorado and a 20-game hitting streak at Coors Field.

Earlier this year, Ohtani passed Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki’s 2009 mark of 43 games, giving him the longest on-base streak by a Japanese-born player.

The overall MLB record since at least 1900 is Ted Williams’ 84-game on-base streak in 1949.
