Dodgers Win Silver Slugger Team Award

LOS ANGELES DODGERS WIN SILVER SLUGGER TEAM AWARD

LOS ANGELE**S –** The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the National League Louisville Silver Slugger Team Award for the second straight season. The Dodgers are the first team to win back-to-back honors since the awards’ inception in 2023.

The Dodgers offense led the squad to their ninth World Championship while leading the National League in various offensive categories, including homers (244), RBI (791), runs (825), total bases (2,415), slugging percentage (.441), isolated power or ISO (.186) and OPS (.768). The team scored 5.09 runs per game, finishing second in the Majors behind only the New York Yankees (5.24), to be one of two teams in baseball to score 5+ runs a game. The offense led the National League with 48 comeback wins, behind only the Toronto Blue Jays (49).

The squad was led by designated Shohei Ohtani, who led the National League in slugging percentage (.622), OPS (1.014), total bases (380) and runs (146). Along with teammate Freddie Freeman (.502), the Dodgers were one of three teams (Diamondbacks. Mets) to have two or more players with a .500+ slugging percentage. The team featured three of the top 15 OPS in the Major League Baseball (min. 360 AB) with Ohtani finishing second, Will Smith finishing ninth (.901) and Freeman ending the campaign in 15th place (.862).

The Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger Team Award is the top offensive honor in Major League Baseball. The Offensive Team of the Year in the NL and AL are determined by Louisville Slugger’s evaluation of overall team offensive statistics.
