DODGERS SELECT BRYAN HUDSON

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Bryan Hudson and designated right-handed pitcher Tayler Scott for assignment.

Hudson, 26, is 4-0 with a 2.17 ERA (7 ER/29.0 IP) and 51 strikeouts in 25 games for Oklahoma City. His next appearance will be his Major League debut as he has spent part of the last eight seasons in the minor leagues with the Chicago Cubs organization and the Dodgers. He is a combined 36-27 with a 4.24 ERA (229 ER/486.0 IP) and 419 strikeouts in 175 career minor league games (72 starts). He was drafted by the Cubs in the third round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of Alton High School (IL).

Scott, 30, pitched 0.2 innings last night, allowing one hit with one strikeout. In six games with the Dodgers, he posted a 9.00 ERA (6 ER/6.0 IP) and eight strikeouts. He has spent parts of three seasons in the Major Leagues with Seattle (2019), Baltimore (2019), San Diego (2022) and Los Angeles (2023) and he is a combined 0-1 with an 10.75 ERA (41 ER/34.1 IP) and 35 strikeouts in 27 games (two starts). He was signed by the Dodgers as a minor league free agent on January 3, 2023.
