Careers as Sports Executives (CASE)

""

Careers as Sports Executives (CASE) was founded in 2018 by baseball leaders Theo Epstein, Scott Harris, and Meghan Jones with the goal of creating a comprehensive sports executive program for high school students passionate about sports – and potentially pursuing careers in the industry – but who lack the resources or opportunities to gain the training, experience, and mentorship needed to enter the field.

The CASE Study Program offers students the chance to develop a deep understanding of the sports industry while building valuable professional connections. With courses covering topics like “Sports Analytics & Data,” “Sport for Social Good,” and “Facilities & Stadium Operations,” the Amazin’ Mets Foundation CASE Program provides a broad and insightful curriculum designed to guide students in both their personal and professional growth.

The program begins with a special kickoff event at the Mets offices, featuring a behind-the-scenes tour led by a Mets staff member. Over the course of eight virtual sessions, students engage in a multimedia curriculum led by industry professionals, exploring key aspects of the sports business. The experience culminates in student-led group presentations and a celebration of their achievements at a Mets game.

The Amazin’ Mets Foundation partners with local schools to bring CASE to students across Queens, helping to ensure that future sports leaders reflect the diversity and passion of the communities they serve.
