The ability to make such strong bonds of friendship in such a short amount of time is truly a testament to the entire experience. There's none better.
Izzy Kushner, 2010-2011, 2013, 2014, 2016-2018
I won't forget the awards dinner night as I sat with my team and one of our coaches, Mookie Wilson. I realized that less than a week ago, most of us didn't know each other at all. But after just a few days, these weren't just teammates, they were now good friends.
- Bill Pittenger, 2017-2018
Getting back to my locker after pitching a complete game and finding a game ball that was signed by Nelson Figueroa and Mookie Wilson with the inscription "Unbelievable Performance - Thank You!"
- Michael Ammirabile, 2017-2018
I had not played baseball in 30 years, I was anxious to try. The locker room, uniforms, staff and the trainers--second to none. The players in person were unbelievable: friendly, funny and fantastic! I had flashbacks from my younger days, my little league coaches, my Dad...great memories. It was a great experience, so good that I signed up to play again in 2019.
- Dennis Lake, 2018
When you watch the pros on TV, you see them as baseball players but know very little about them as a person. Fantasy Camp gives you the chance to learn about the rest of their lives and realize that but for their unbelievable baseball talent, they are just like the rest of us.
- Jennifer Hughes 2005-2007; 2017
Just walking around and talking baseball, The Fantasy camp experience and the joy in everyone's eyes. You never know where the next laugh is going to come from, but you know it is coming! And last but not least, the way that everyone is always rooting for everyone else, oh if the world could only be a little more like Fantasy camp!
- Phil Forman 2014-2017
Walking into the clubhouse, seeing my name over the locker, looking around and reconnecting with the friends I made as a rookie. I felt like I was part of the Mets family.
- David Taylor 2016-2017
The friends I've made from this camp is something that I wasn't expecting. In just a short week, my teammates and I bonded in such a way that it feels like we've known each other for much longer. I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion, at future camps, or whenever we decide to get together
- Joe LoVerde 2017
One of my favorite memory was eating breakfast alone and Doc Gooden comes by and sits next to me. Next thing I know, I'm chatting and having breakfast with the legend. How does one describe the experience??!!
- David Shih 2017
"When I walked into the clubhouse for the first time and I found my locker with my name above it and my uniforms hanging in the locker. I felt like a kid again!" - Michael DiNardo, 2015-2016
"The smile on Felix Millan's face (my coach) when I hit the ball over the outfielders head. Growing up, I was rooting for him but now, he roots for me!"
- Ron Nash 2008-2011; 2013-2016
"The "Baseball Gods" almost always seem to be watching over Port St. Lucie come January. Childhood dreams somehow manage to become reality, creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime!"
- Dean Pflaum 2008-2016
"The best part about camp is the change to play with and against my buddies. The camaraderie with all the players makes it a great experience; you just don't want to leave!"
- Jim Lewicki 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014-2016
"I lived in a world where I could walk to the field chatting with my son and Dwight Gooden, be coached by Duffy Dyer, share stories at the batting cages with Joe Pignatano, joke with Bobby Wine and Doug Flynn, have breakfast with Edgardo Alfonzo, win a Championship, and most moving of all, be my son's teammate"
- Matt Breitenbach 2011, 2016
